Just because you're not intelligent enough to discern the clear difference between unsubstantiated hate against an ethnic group based on nothing bit their ethnicity and very real and justified hate against a genocidal, apartheid government hell bent on actually ethnically cleansing their neighbors and stealing their land doesn't mean that others can't tell the difference.

Sounds like you may potentially have a flood sensor problem. Have you been able to take it out/verify that it's not throwing false positives?

But that's the whole thing about it...your worldview doesn't matter. Sex != Gender. You lot are just not intelligent enough to understand the difference and that makes you inherently defensive when it comes to the subject, which is why you react as any animal that perceives itself being attacked and lash out. But no one is attacking YOU by expressing themselves with full nuance. You just don't have the faculties to understand the difference so you paint with a wide brush.

Seems like you're the only one mixing the two from what I can see (and furthermore adding to your confusion by conflating sex and gender as well). Sexuality is ones orientation in terms of sexual and romantic attraction. So you can have a woman (gender) who was born with male sex parts (sex) who happens to be pansexual (sexual orientation).

The reason people "care" so much is because if someone tells you how they wish to be identified and referred to and you not only refuse to do so but go out of your way to misidentify them, it shows blatant disregard and lack of respect for them as a human being. If you don't care what people refer to you that's fine. But that's your personal choice and you are free to make it. Those who do care about what we refer to them as are likewise free to care. And while yes you have the freedom to not respect their request, it's an inherently degrading, dehumanizing, and downright anti-social act. You're going out of your way to make a big deal out of it and othering it rather than just using the terms people requested and moving the fuck on with your day.

Sounds like you watched a distro that included the original pilot (The Cage) as the first episode, whereas in the og season that aired, that episode never aired and was instead recut by Rodenbery later with new trial footage as The Menagerie two parter. Really creative use of discarded footage to stretch the budget and introduce background canon for Spock and the Enterprise crew.

I'm not denying that it's one that's been sold as "the real" one, but at the end of the day it's all manufactured and presents a false dichotomy which is only "real" because the people have been told that it is such and have accepted it. We can conceive of better and more rational systems. And I would argue it's on us to do so and to push back against these false dichotomies

If you're at the point where you're ok with your tax dollars going toward funding and sanctioning indiscriminate genocide in Palestine in order to get around a political issue where the opposite side's pitch is to let the Russian war and genocide against Ukraine get out of hand if you don't bless the other genocide...then wtf are we doing? Just trading genocides to score fucking political points. Is that "compromise"? Absolutely fuck that shit. It's possible to completely stop all funding to Israel until they stop and redirect those resources and funding to Ukraine where they're actually fighting for their land and country. Our political fulcrum has been fucked in this country.

For starters, stop treating these people as serious people, regardless of position or economic/political standing. This clowns and his kind should have their mics automatically cut off and all interviews immediately ended the moment they start bringing this shit up with any level of seriousness.
