I think it says a lot that this doesn't really move the needle about my opinion of either of them at this point...

They marched up there with no resistance, but they shortly thereafter blew the guys plane out of the air. That's a pretty big repercussion.

I don't know if LLMs of a large enough size can achieve (or sufficiently emulate) consciousness, but I do know that we barely know anything about consciousness, let alone it's limits.

Just let us know if he starts advocating for invading sovereign nations under false pretenses.

It's an ideology characterized by hate, bigotry, and nationalism. They're all dumb by default. Doesn't mean they can't do an enormous amount of harm anyway...

I honestly think he forgot what he was talking about halfway through the tweet, and started talking about himself in the third person (as he does) and how they "stole" the presidency from him.

Never learning any lessons

The rich are now richer than they have ever been in history while we grumble about it on the internet. I think they just didn't learn the lesson we might have liked them to have learned....

The thing is, LLMs can be used for something like this, but just like if you asked a stranger to write a letter for your loved one and only gave them the vaguest amount of information about them or yourself you're going to end up with a really generic letter.

...but to give me amount of info and detail you would need to provide it with, you would probably end up already writing 3/4 of the letter yourself which defeats the purpose of being able to completely ignore and write off those you care about!

As a living person who intends to continue living for at least the next 4 years, I strongly disagree about who has a "greater stake" in the nations future... especially when we take into account that the party (formerly) of "family values" keeps fucking over the future for the present, so maybe it's all just a smokescreen to push whatever policies they want by pretending they're just thinking of the children...

I think this is a really good strategy. This is how you point out that an argument feels illogical without having to actually talk about logic (which ironically has always caused a big disconnect trying to talk to the self-purported "facts over feelings" crowd).

I think there is a significant distinction between "regular" working class and "earning above €400,000 per year" working class.

I think the guy you're responding to is more talking about the distinction between income and capital gains, with income making up far less of the wealthy's worth than existing investments.

But yes, a lot of people also have no concept of how tax brackets work.
