  • If ‘anybody’ does anything similar to tracing, copy&pasting or even sampling a fraction of another person’s imagery or written work, that anybody is violating copyright.

Ok, but tracing is literally a part of the human learning process. If you trace a work and sell it as your own that's bad. If you trace a work to learn about the style and let that influence your future works that is what every artist already does.

The artistic process isn't copyrighted, only the final result. The exact same standards can apply to AI generated work as already do to anything human generated.

  • And if you do that over several hiring position over time you have now shown a pattern of age based discrimination.

Or, (and this is an actual thing) you find out that both people you interviewed had the exact same resume except for their age and were hired by lawyers in a class action lawsuit for age discrimination.

  • I'm getting really sick of these "icons for women in politics" dying from age-related conditions in office.

Every year I watch RGB RBG retroactively destroy her own legacy by having refused to retire when she should have.

  • It's crazy to think that Ryan wouldn't know the extremely vocal opinions of his alleged favorite band RATM. Like...it's in the name, and the lyrics, and from all of Morello's public statements.

....does Paul Ryan not know that he is "the machine"? Or is he just a willfully ignorant asshole?

  • He'll say he's on their side, talk about "beautiful people" and the "great actions" he will take or some other non-committal weasel-words, and then continue on not caring about anyone but himself and let the GOP do whatever they want on things he doesn't care about (like union workers).

We have seen this song and dance going on for nearly a decade now....I'm tired boss.....

  • I think most people could break it in, but are reluctant to keep playing or play again once they feel sick doing it.

The article author reports trying twice: first a rollercoaster, and then a racing game. Then cites a study about people getting sick in their first 15 minutes of use.

I think you're right, but some people just aren't going to give it another try. I think this tech is likely to be one of those big generational dividers that old people just won't tolerate (like computers or cell phones, or the thousands of prior things).

  • Surely the child of a billionaire conservative who was given control over his daddy's media empire will have more reasonable and nuanced beliefs that don't further destroy the world like his father did.......right?
