  • “None. None. None have been completed,” Biggs said. “There’ve been a few of them. Seven I think have been sent to the Senate from the House. The Senate has not taken up a single one of those bills. How do you campaign on the trust of the American people? You failed and continue to fund this goofy Ukraine, this outrageous Ukraine debacle that’s going on.”

Don't confuse this with criticism of the GOP. It is clearly Senate Democrats fault that House Republicans can't get their shit together......

  • I mean, they even found a way around human rights and labor laws with prison slave work

"Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction." (emphasis added)

I don't think they really "found a way" around it insomuch as they explicitly continued to allow it in the text of the 13th Amendment. It's not a bug, it's a feature!

  • Sanders notably attributed the war in Gaza to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and “the right-wing Netanyahu government” — not to Israel in general.

This extremely obvious distinction seems to get completely lost in every discussion on the topic. I like Israel and they have the right to exist. I don't like far right conservative governments run by corrupt war criminals (but enough about Bush...).

  • On a technical level, it's hard to say why Meteor Lake has regressed in this test, but the CPU's performance characteristics elsewhere imply that Intel simply might not have cared as much about IPC. Meteor Lake is primarily designed to excel in AI applications and comes with the company's most powerful integrated graphics yet. It also features Foveros technology and multiple tiles manufactured on different processes. So while Intel doesn't beat AMD or Apple with Meteor Lake in IPC measurements, there's a lot more going on under the hood.

  • Jokes on you humanity, hitting 'no' is just another data point that they can use to compare you to millions of other people and use the aggregate data to predict what you're probably going to do anyway.

  • When the questioner said it was “astonishing” to hear her respond “without mentioning the word slavery,” Haley replied: “What do you want me to say about slavery?” She then asked for the next question

I understand that it was a rhetorical question....but it's kind of not. It's pretty clear that her position on slavery is going to be--much like every other opinion--entirely controlled by what her voters want her to say.

  • And if he's somehow voted back in, he will be equally disqualified as those Justices.

....which is to say not for any practical purposes, which is exactly the problem in the first place. He should be but at this point he is not.

  • He's riling up a pre-enraged group to outright accept him as a dictator. The water is muddied. He is talking about becoming a dictator and he has not been disqualified from office.

It's nothing good, but I don't think I would call it 'unbalanced' to set the stage for a dictatorship when your stated goal is to become a literal dictator.

  • She added, “If the Biden Administration and Congress want to make a real commitment to family well-being, they should invest in already existing programs and infrastructure at the state level and give us the flexibility to tailor them to our state’s needs.”

In the same speech she talks about how kids don't need money for food and conflates issues of hunger and obesity. I do not trust your "states rights" bs to actually feed children. That money will absolutely go into a donors pocket of not strictly allocated (which is exactly why they don't want to be told how to spend it).
