That's the thing - if you have plenty of vacations and a short work week, then you tend to actually do work during your working hours. If you're in the workplace for 70 hours every week all year, then naturally you can't do useful work for most of these hours. Which is why it looks like you never work as you have to rest at work.
I don't know much about the topic in depth, but I can tell you the greatest problem with using a blockchain for such record keeping: there is no way to ensure that the service that was recorded in the blockchain actually matches the service that was performed. And this is the same problem that every single record keeping system has, so it's not unique, but simply because of this all the greater reliability of the blockchain is meaningless.
The great leap forward was such a colossal clusterfuck that you can't blame it on any one thing (although most of them would be prevented without the authoritarianism). Literally everything was wrong. Sparrows, lysenkoism, forced collectivization (basically, and perhaps ironically, farmers not owning the means of production), Mao just being evil, backyard burners, rigid chain of command that gave the chairman absolute authority but at the same prevented him from knowing what was going on, everything.
The definition of a tankie is both simple and clear: someone who supported the invasions of Hungary and Czechoslovakia by the Warsaw pact. I thought you would either know that, be able to look it up, or stop talking about things even you admit you don't know anything about. But that is too much for some people I guess.
And if you replace "murderer" with "jew", then the code of laws sounds like Nazi propaganda. What a gotcha. But guess what, words actually do have meanings.
Legally, yes. You can't and shouldn't prevent them from dating.
But, it's still creepy, it's usually still predatory, and there can be a huge power imbalance. Basically, the main thing is whether either person can easily leave at any time - often the younger one can't.
I second this. I've never played or painted, but I'm fascinated by the universe, and it is LONG. I'm just now finishing the prequel series (the Horus Heresy) which is over 50 books long (and some extra short stories). The main universe has 500 or something books.
I listen to audiobooks on the way to work, and used to do the same on the way to school, so I go through books very quickly.
The thing about corruption is that it's very inefficient. Spending a trillion dollars on weapons translates to only a couple of billions in the pockets of profiteers, the rest is used to actually make the weapons, move them in place, and to pay the people using them.
So with a useless war, you waste far more than you would if you just have the money to the profiteers.
I wonder how saying that Muslims are being exploited counts as islamophobia.
