  • They should have stayed and sabotage DOGE efforts. Do people not know how to resist? If you find yourself in a position where you can work inside the beast and slow it down or fuck it up. Do it.

  • I did not know what but it makes sense. They normally walk around the backyard.

  • My sister got chickens in her adulthood. We didn't grow up with them or anything. I went over a few years ago and saw her chickens all meandering wherever they wanted in her backyard while she tried to herd them all to their pen I was able to catch one of them and put her in their pen. It did kind of remind me of mini-dinos though.

  • so they came up with a new name and are making everyone update to push data there. honestly i can't take watching these people be praised for their innovation and promoted to make more of these shit decisions.

This happens so often it is crazy. A bunch of people got hooked up with high salary welfare jobs and now they got to justify their existence. It's why they like having meetings where nothing productive gets done and they try out their boring ass jokes.

  • No that is still true. They are against America. That's why they don't care about the constitution.

  • This reminds me of a joke....

A new monk arrives at the monastery and is assiged to help the other monks in copying the old texts by hand. When he looks closer, however, he notices that they are copying copies, not the original books. The new monk goes to the head monk to ask him about this. He points out to the head monk that should there be an error in the first copy, that error would be continued in all of the other copies. "We have been copying from the copies for centuries," says the head monk, "however, I must admit you make a very good point, my son." The head monk then goes down to the cellar with one of the copies to check it against the original. Hours pass and no one sees him, so one of the monks decides to go downstairs to look for him. When he arrives he hears loud sobbing coming from the back of the cellar and finds the old head monk leaning over one of the original books crying. "What's wrong," he asks the old monk. "The word is CELEBRATE!" sobs the old monk.

  • You know what? You're right, reader—I deserve a little treat.

You do deserve it damnit! I know everything is 100%, but it will never be. Just because other people made bad decisions doesn't mean you didn't do what you were supposed to do. It doesn't mean you aren't living you best life. So fuck it and treat yo self. Everybody talking shit probably sucks anyway.

  • I would agree with Dread. It is such a a nice clean game and that last boss was an actual challenge. Many games are awesome but fumble the last boss.

Before Dread, I would say the Super Metroid on SNES, that game introduced (at least me) the wall jumps and the sprint to down boost jump thing. I always tired to saved the animals when leaving the planet, but it's not like they were able to get off the planet, so I'm not sure if it really helped.

  • They mentioned it in the new Castlevania series. That is probably the most I learned about it from media.

  • Can you give an example of a line that feels that way to you?

  • Medicine. A lot of plants are used in medicine as well. Asprin came from tree bark.

  • I used to care about pineapple on pizza till I remembered I'm not eating other people's pizza. I tried it before. I just think warm pineapple is odd.

I did notice some pizza that Japan made. All that mayonnaise and corn made me realize pineapples on pizza aren't that crazy.

  • I feel he is the only person I've seen try to go around and sound like a sane person about this shit. He let's me know I'm not crazy. I hear him from different sources too. He's not just trying for a sound bite on legacy media.

  • Nice. I feel the cycle is complete.

  • You need to look local. Check local co-ops. They understand more community mindset and you might be able to meet people there.

    https://localpicks.org/

    https://www.localharvest.org/

    https://blackfarmersindex.com/

Without knowing specific details I can't make specific answers, but there are websites that try to organize local events. Not political, but you can use that as a jumping off point since everything is political even if people don't want to admit it. Eventbrite.com has some local events get together for different areas. Usually anyone volunteering at local 'clean the bay' events would have better guidance.

My point is go do those things and ask people there. Community and organizing is how we will get through this. It's tough and I'm just trying to talk to people that I know that are struggling and help them anyway I can.

  • Quick vent. My job introduced OneDrive and cloud shit through Microsoft. Yeah. I still have to tell my computer to save on itself. I'm not using OneDrive.

I hear my coworkers bitch about it all the time. It's not syncing. I can't save or change this or that. I can't find it when I'm trying to open it. Why is this green or yellow? What's up with this check? They always ask me for help because I'm the younger one that knows more about computers. I respond that I don't do cloud shit. I want to know where my info is, but they keep on wanting me to figure it out for them.

I guess cloud computing is my old man yelling at clouds line.

  • Is there an xkcd comic for when people find an xkcd comic for everything?

  • Half is one of those statistical lies that get thrown around as true. Half(ish) that voted, voted for trump. It's more like 1/3 of the country voted for trump.

Then you have to get to why each voter voted this way. Most people would say grocery prices, or my money is not going as far. Or maybe some other single issue thing. Many of them thought the more outlandish promises wouldn't come to pass. That's why we have trump voters with their spouse picked up by ice. Or their farm about to be bought up by foreign interests.

Saying that half the nation wants this gives these guys too much power. I mean they are taking enough power already. Let's not cement the idea that these moves are popular.
