  • Yepp, or at least a subgroup of it and/or autism.

And if you're really "lucky" it turns into PDA, "pathological demand avoidance" or as I prefer to call it "pervasive drive for autonomy". Worst case you enter fight or flight mode due to any demands on you. My feeling is that it's a understandable reaction to the feelings of anxiety demands have pushed on you over the years.

  • "I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad...", what actually does people think toxic masculinity is? The one you're replying to seems to have been tricked into believing that feminists think that all masculine traits are bad. They are actually listening to the enemy of their own self best interests.

I think there might be some overlap causing confusion. Being protective and problem solving are not inherently bad, but combine it with stuff like dominating, controling and not listening to others, and it can be very harmful. So a person might believe that they are just being protective but since they didn't listen to the other person their actions turns to controling instead.

  • Oh yes, such as "just form good habits"...
Sorry, I'm incapable of making habits.

Or "think how good it will feel when you're done".
Sorry, best I can do is feel enough anxiety over not having done the thing that it will outweigh the anxiety I feel regarding doing the thing".

    It's such a joy sometimes...

  • I'm a Christian but I support the school of thought that says "shit happens".

Another problem with the thinking "everything happens for a reason" is that it can lead to belief in "the just world". When one thinks that life is fair you start to believe that bad things only happens to bad people, ie they deserve it.

  • All these companies, including mine, are super profitable for most part but that is apparently not enough

It can never be enough when you're worshiping Mammon. Anything less than all and even all it self is too little for them.

  • Sure, but a good desk or chair can be quite expensive to buy. Sitting badly can really mess you up.

But the transportation of the employee isn't a problem that an employer care about usually. The costs for office space on the other hand is just a saving that companies pocket and pass over to the employers. That's why I feel that companies should give a stipend for the office space needed by the employee, including computers and screens of course.

  • The thing I don't like is that so much of the cost cutting goes to companies. It's not just the office space, it's also furniture, electricity, water and so on.

While the worker save time and costs for transportation they usually don't get any compensation for the wear and tear of their furniture or the need for extra space for work area.

  • The militaristic themes and what I feel is a glorification of war makes me uncomfortable. The use of historical glory from war is so common among fascists and nationalist. And no that doesn't mean that anyone who likes them are, my son for instance like them. But my own personal choice is not to listen to them even though I think that they play good music.
