  • I actually feel like the kind of damage Musk presents could actually be healed by therapy, but he would really have to want that change and he doesn't, or can't see it. I'm not sure he ever will either.

A lot of scummy people you get the sense that there's literally no hope for them (which also probably isn't true, everyone has hope, but as little as possible hope)

  • At what point can the Canadian government just start seizing assets of US companies in retaliation of the tarrifs?

Oh this is going to cause the auto factory in Ontario to be shut down and thousands of jobs lost?

That's a Canadian owned factory now. Sorry GM. We'll make cars for ourselves.

  • Ya know ... a lot of things get called unprecedented, but I gotta say, I highly doubt a journalist has ever been included on a classified military strike chat anywhere in the modern world, possibly the whole world, ever.

So ya this is definitely unprecedented.

  • Oops meant to reply to this earlier but was busy.

I was thinking more that Grok was aware of its prompt but was somehow able to then self reference it to accuse Musk of trying to silence itself.

If the prompt said you won't speak poorly of Musk, but the AI doesn't think telling the truth in a specific way is speaking poorly, it might say Musk doesn't want me to say bad things about him. It knows the prompt and it made an answer.

So it's kinda leaking the prompt that way

  • I'm really hoping the newer exo skeletons can help with some of that physical labor pain and discomfort. Things like if you lift your arm to screw something above you, once you reach up it automatically holds your weight for you while you work, and seamlessly releases when you bring your arm down.

  • That would be interesting ya. I don't think there would be any way to recoup the cost for the person calling is sick on Friday semi frequently or similar things, but for the people who are gaming the system and didn't work for a year, if they found a way to abuse it, it'd probably make sense if you truly were that suspicious.
