An NPU isn't required for something like recall, it just makes running local models more efficient.

To be clear, even if you have a door that opens outward, the doors first open inwards before rotating to go back out. That way pressure will always keep the door from opening when at a high altitude.

It's a preference, I get it.
But there are a few major issues that the new Reddit has that aren't an issue with the old Reddit view:

• Forced to login to view certain communities (or if you're on a VPN).
• Ads that pretend to be redditors commenting.
• Needing to click "view more comments" after scrolling past 3 or 4 comments
• Needing to expand all comments just to follow a conversation.
• Custom upvote/downvote icons are not supported.
• If you're viewing a thread (not logged in) and you want to upvote/comment on something, after logging in the new Reddit immediately redirects you to the Reddit homepage instead of allowing you to upvote/comment immediately where you were at.

Or just use old.Reddit
Also helps because uBlock will remove any comments that are actually ads.

The problem is they're finding more ways to redirect you from .old to the current Reddit, so be careful how you click on links to posts.

Maybe you were upvoting things that Reddit was finding against their ToS?

I saw something about them previously warning users for things that they had been upvoting.

And, a fair warning, your upvotes and downvotes on the fediverse/Lemmy are public even if it's not shown to you within the Lemmy interface itself.

I tag users with extreme views in any direction.

It helps to recognize them in most discussions.

One thing that bothers me, and what everyone should know, is proper placement for defibrillator pads if you're using an AED.

It's not 2 pads on the chest, it's one pad on the upper chest (almost shoulder) on one side, and the other pad goes lower on their side. You're trying to have the current go through their heart (not skip over the top of their skin).

The AEDs found in public locations are all very easy to use and all have pictures for the proper placement. Just open it up and it will tell you everything you need to do. Have someone nearby look for one at the same time you're asking someone else to call emergency services.

They should all have razors if you need to get a little hair off (in case the person is especially hairy for one of the pad placements).

Rather than removing entirely, it would be great if we had a community where we could just upload our top comments to, and then redirect users from Reddit to your comment on a Lemmy instance.

Using pie fed here because it's (probably?) less likely to be caught by some Reddit automod filter, I think other redditors might be attracted to it more, I've heard they abstract votes* to a different account from your actual account (slightly more privacy that way), and it's good to spread out user bases among the fediverse instances.

You could do something similar with your top posts. Just repost it to the appropriate community and then edit the post on Reddit to redirect there through pie fed.

*Edit: Pie fed only votes with anonymous accounts for you when sharing votes with an untrusted instance. So not quite as privacy oriented as I had originally thought.

What do you have against massages? I find them relaxing.

You get ads even if you pay for the more expensive ad-free subscription.

At least those seem to be rare, only at the beginning, and they let you skip, but it's frustrating that you have to do that at all.
