  • there aren’t role models

What would you expect from a "role model"? Just a person who does good for its own sake? Doing so would be something that's not publicized, so it's hard to show off good behaviour.

Robin Williams was always a standup guy, Keanu Reeves seems like a nice guy, Ryan Reynolds seems to be a standup guy (but he has a hard monetary incentive to keep this image), the guys from Cinema Therapy seem to be decent. Do these people count as role models?

  • Yeah, it's Bandit. It's one of those series that you can watch as an adult. It's great. If they ever stop making it, I'm going to riot.

  • He did a bad job.

Sounds like his parents did a bad job at raising him.

You should probably align with him on what "clean" means. It probably means "cleaner" to him, whereas you meant "nigh impeccable" - your definition isn't bad; there's just a mismatch between both your understanding.

  • Moeras-Duits is ook Duits, toch?

  • I blame Digg for failing. It increased Reddit's popularity too fast, which was a bad thing bringing too many people, fucking up the culture reddit had built (which wasn't much, but it was ours).

  • It's a containment site; has been for a while.

  • "Does it involve an egg?" - Bortus, Moclan, The Orville.

We got the "500 cigarettes" meme out of it, but that whole series is so fucking memeable.

  • Barnevelder

Eyy, that's near my home town! Barneveld (the town) is basically Chicken/Egg central, as we have companies that build the machines that wash and package our eggs. We also have Haantje Pik which is a sticky cinnamon-bun-like pastry. It's delicious!

  • We used to say that people who made vertical videos had Vertical Video Syndrome. It was a terrible time.

  • This blog is my favorite Linux blog!

I love Robert and his YT antics - his whole "The X command is my favourite Linux command!" shtick was both funny AND informative!

  • Wasn't talking about that, but OK Boomer.

  • Cave Story+.

You are Quote, an amnesiac robot. The world appear to have gone to shit and you don't know why.

It's a 2D sidescroller, which if I told myself, I would find immediately boring, but the animation, controls and story combined as just so good. It's so good.

  • GTA 5 crashed on my machine when I finally shelled out 30 bucks for it, because the torrented version crashed at a specific mission.

One of a handful of games I've actually returned.

  • Twinsen's Little Big Adventure 2 Classic (aka LBA2 or Twinsen's Adventure)

You are Twinsen, a little tank-like controlled character that's about to go on an adventure to save his planet!

The tank controls may be getting a bit used to, but you can jump, roll to the side, hop backwards, etc, so you can apply some creativity to your movement. Shout out to the Magicball Network for staying alive all those years!

Go out there, meet a godess, defeat a dictator!

  • This was my Diablo. Indeed very dumb, but fun in a weird way. downvoted because I already played it though!

  • Fucking Randy "greaseball" Pitchford fucking up another game. If I see Gearbox touch anything, I'll presume it dead and buried. They haven't done anything decent since 2015 (Homeworld Remastered Collection).

  • Sea of Thieves.

That game is too buggy over the years it exists to be as popular as it is, and not in a "haha smol glitch" buggy, but "lets disconnect at the WORSE possible moments" (like you having a ton of loot).

Not worth it. A waste of 30 bucks.

  • That or my recent addiction to correcting people when they use “less” when they should use “fewer”

Remember, kids, "less" is for uncountable things, like liquids, whereas "fewer" is for countable things (like apples).

It's one of many weird rules that English, as a language, has.

  • Bumble

    Jump
  • Are there any dating sites where the users are actually trained on how to initiate a conversation? I bet not.

Bumble could start a free training program to get the poor sods (both men and women) who simply don't know how to start to actually get started instead of being constantly rejected.
