  • I had to pay a small medical bill once and everytime I called it would take me to an answering machine after 2 or 3 minutes. They would call back after 1 or 2 hours and by that time I'm usually at work so I couldn't answer my phone since I'm driving. I just ended up giving up and stopped trying to pay it. IDK what happened to it.

  • You got yours 6 years ago. 8k was about average for a decent used car then. Now you're paying almost full price for a 5 year old car or if you're okay with a shit box that may or may not last then you can drop 5k. I got a 2012 GTI.

  • Just remember they've always been here. Trump only emboldened them so they had a leader to cower behind while spewing their FUD. They know they're wrong but they don't care as long as the right people are hurt. And they'll still be here after the trump cult dissolves. No amount of education can reach those who are unwilling to learn.

  • DDG gives me better search results now. I was arguing with someone a few years back about how Google gives better results when searching for programming answers. Not anymore. I pretty much only use Google out of desperation when other searches failed.

  • Excited to play "multiplayer" again with my friend. Discord and streaming wasn't possible for me back then so we just used Skype voice to describe what we found in each puzzle. Of course we'd give each other a chance to figure it out ourselves first, but we had so much fun for a couple weeks.

  • I'm still not cool with them raising PC games from $50 to $60 almost 20 years ago just because they could and used the console parity excuse due to their licensing fees. I don't think I've bought a AAA game since EA's stunts around 2012/2013.

  • Even if you were correct, your obnoxious attitude would make me not care anyway. You're lying to yourself if you believe at all that AMD has better CPUs. Intel has for a long time now the best single threaded performance. The other person laid it out for you nicely. I'm not much of an Intel fanboy but you types of people are just as obnoxios as apple users. Claim to know everything but completely wrong about it.

  • Same. I'm not even sure why I have it now. Shipping is atrocious even though I'm less than 5 miles from a distribution center. I barely buy from them anymore since I don't know if I'm going to get a used returned item or not.

  • Doesn't fucking matter when they keep using cheap potentiometers in their joysticks making them only last 6-12 months before stick drift gets unbearable. It's time they switch to hall effect sensors. I have a joystick from 2014 with hall effect and zero drifting. I have a king Kong 2 controller with hal effect sensors. Zero stick drift after nearly a year of rocket League abuse and zero drifting. I've gone through 2 Xbox elite controllers in 1.5 years. Get rid the trash components first.

  • Partially true. I fix coke stuff for a living. They do keep it chilled with a multiplex unit in the backroom. That's the secret to their pop. It's basically a big tank of water with coiled copper tubes to chill the water to just below freezing. There's an agitator motor to keep it from icing over completely and that cold water is recirculated 24/7 to keep drinks cold. But they absolutely do not add more syrup than anybody else and it's the exact same formula as anywhere else.

The real reason is that they're switching to automated processes. Customer comes in, punches button on screen, drink served. Plus many don't want to dump their older ABS 1.0 machines after upgrading the one in the drive through to a newer 2.0.

  • "No I REFUSE to educate myself!" he said while repeatedly demonstrating he has no clue what he's talking about. People like you should just vanish. You're the problem and you're too stupid to acknowledge it.
