  • Thank you (and your fellow admins) for all you do and the time you sacrifice. It is appreciated, by me at least. I don’t even want to consider what vile obscenity you run the risk of exposing yourselves to and I’m happy you’ve not yet had to purge anything; but there’s some sick individuals out there and I’m glad you’re a bulwark against that.

  • .ml is treated as a bit of a bogeyman around here - most of my interactions with their instance and users has been good. I realise this could be different for others. But, yes, they are Marxist-Leninist so, obviously, their opinions and content will be closely aligned with their political philosophy. In my personal opinion and experience .world seems to have vacuumed-up a tremendous amount of people from the other site you mentioned (Robbit?). Their netiquette seems to have not changed. Also, myself and some others have noticed that on .world it’s not unusual to see comments that express views from outside what the majority believe get deleted. Fortunately the “mod logs” are public record so you can see why comments were deleted, whom by and what the original post/comment was. (I guess with the exception of illegal content that has to be scrubbed) I hope you enjoy your time here. Welcome.

  • That’s certainly one opinion - which you’re more than entitled to hold. Personally I don’t get the connotations that you do. I see it as a subversion of Musk’s overt sycophancy vis a vis Trump’s (completely unwarranted) strong man persona clothed in a parody of a TradCon nuclear family. It’s art - there’s often more than one interpretation. Sometimes deliberately so.

  • The laws of engagement in WW2? I remember they were apparently building concentration camps and rounding up and murdering the Jews, the gays, the gypsies, the anarchists, the communists, the Slavs, the mentally disabled, allied prisoners of war etc etc. I think right about then the law was ok with fucking-up Nazis… but I’m not an historian so best to double check this comment.

  • I’ve lived in London a couple of times and always assumed Aberdeen Angus Steakhouses were a money laundering operation or a front for other criminal enterprises. There seemed to be lots of places and very few customers.

  • “… too lazy to figure things out.” Yup, just like when somebody calls a plumber, or a mechanic or a therapist. Stop being lazy and master something in a field where you have no experience or desire to learn.

  • One instance explained to me that they disabled downvoting because of massive brigading issues due to what they are and what they stand for. I had assumed that everyone over there was just fragile… but apparently it’s a real issue for them folk and that had never occurred to me before.

  • By “farm sales” do you mean from a small herd kept by an actual farmer who is geographically close to the purchaser; as opposed to buying from either an industrial creamery and/or factory farm?

Milk, by its very nature, has some risk involved in its consumption… but from udder to mouth it’s not exactly akin to Russian roulette / certain death as some are claiming.
