  • Vance also said he was “outraged at Trump’s rhetoric, and I worry most of all about how welcome Muslim citizens feel in their own country. And there have always been demagogues willing to exploit the people who believe crazy shit. What seems different to me is that the Republican party offers nothing that’s as attractive as the demagogue.”

Exploit the people who believe crazy shit. Exactly what Vance is doing now that he’s sided with the demagogue.

Vance is even worse than a narcissist. He knows better and chooses to be evil for his own self-interest. I get why Trump likes him. He understands a life being driven by self-interest. And he knows Vance will burn everything down to advance he and Trump’s interests.

  • We used to try to think that Supreme Court justices took their lifetime appointments and unique place in our democracy seriously. Turns out, they’re corrupt asshole politicians like all the rest. At least on the Republican side.

  • Some polls have indicated that Trump was gaining on President Joe Biden among this group of voters before Biden decided to step aside as the Democratic nominee.

However, a new New York Times/Siena College poll sees Harris leading Trump by 19 percentage points among Hispanic voters – 57 to 38 per cent. In June, the same pollster found that Biden was leading among Hispanic voters by a single point – 45 to 44 per cent.

It makes sense in context. Biden was quickly losing the advantage, and Harris gained it back immediately.

  • Fantastic article. Gets right to the heart of the problem. Angry people disappointed with how their lives turned out feel like they have to cling to something. Something that gives them the value that they don’t see in themselves as individuals.

Race is an easy crutch. There are centuries of bullshit pseudoscience about skull shapes and whatnot for them to discover. And most of all, it gives them enemies. They can take all that hate and frustration they feel in their own lives and direct it outwardly.

It’s ultimately sad and pathetic. Maybe if people like this had economic opportunities, better education, etc. they wouldn’t have the underlying self-loathing that leads them down this path.

  • Guys, have you noticed that Harris laughs. Like when she finds something funny she laughs at it. Fucked up, right?

When she was a prosecutor, she put people in jail that pled guilty or were convicted by a jury. What a monster.

Maybe she’s secretly been assuming the duties of the President when Biden wasn’t feeling well. We should look into that. That would make her… bad somehow.

Is she actually Hillary Clinton in a mask, maybe? Can we test that on 4chan?

Good thing we always have old faithful- racism and sexism. That’ll swing those undecideds.

  • My question is who is going to run for Mark Kelly’s senate seat in Arizona. He’s popular enough that the seat is safe now.

Is there another candidate that we can be sure will step in and keep the seat blue? If not, it’s probably best that Kelly stays where he is.

  • You mean the multi-billion dollar, souped-up autocorrect might not actually be able to replace the human workforce? I am shocked, shocked I say!

Do you think Sam Altman might have… gasp lied to his investors about its capabilities?

  • I like Kelly as a VP pick, but I don’t like turning a safe senate seat into a tossup. Beshear is term limited, so his lieutenant governor can finish the term and run as an incumbent.

I think they’re probably going with Shapiro, though. The old guard will see Pennsylvania turning blue and put their blinders on to everything else.

  • Andy Beshear is the exact opposite of JD Vance. He’s an authentic, decent person who can speak to rural communities and purple states with sincerity, the one thing that is truly lacking in American politics.

I know Shapiro is the conventional wisdom pick, but Beshear is the right pick.
