  • Between climate change, civil unrest, and the possibility of WW3, I'm not sure if I or anyone else is going to live long enough for it to be an issue. When all the immediate civilization-collapsing problems are solved, I'll worry about microplastics in earnest.

  • Bernie: Here’s a bill that will help literally everyone. People waste less of their lives at work, and productivity goes up massively for the corporate overlords. There is no downside here for anyone.

    Everyone: Shut up, hippy.

  • I understand the point you're making about probabilities, but we're speaking in the context of politics. Polls accurately predicted the results in 2008 and 2012. Something fundamentally changed in 2016, and the polls were off across the board.

  • Why are we still restricting what weapon systems we send to Ukraine? American doctrine for beating superior numbers calls for advanced technology. If we’re going to ask them to fight like us, we need to give them what they need.

  • Welcome to the post-intervention world. No one wants to take on the costs of not just the fight, but the decade plus of nation-building that comes afterward. These "gangs" are going to become the government of Haiti.

  • The far-reaching order is only possible thanks to allegations that Giuliani participated in “discovery misconduct”—that is to say, he failed to spill all the beans the first time around

Giuliani’s incompetence is going to expose all his allies to intense financial scrutiny. I wonder how tight the Russian mob’s security is to human failures.

  • If you want to see a resurgent left in America, please strike down the NLRB. Take away the one avenue of redress that labor still has.

It won’t happen that day. It won’t happen that year. But that decision will lead to blood on the streets.

As MLK taught, riots are the inevitable result of voices going unheard.
