No, I mean use your eyes to see if there are any obvious breaks in the text, most of the time they’re repeated and follow a pattern that is easily searched and every instance replaced with a button press.
- Use convert.io to convert pdf to EPUB
- Import EPUB to editor software such as sigil
- Find editing issues in the text by hand, once you’ve found one issue that gets repeated like “AuThOr 78” for page numbers
- Use the search and replace function to replace all instances with blank
- Skim over the text for a couple minutes not reading, but looking for other weird breaks in the text flow
- When you think you have them all export the file and start reading, if you see any other less obvious issues mark them in the notes and do a final edit for aesthetics
You now have the book on EPUB to be placed in your personal cloud or whatever.
You can easily convert pdf files to epub then do a little light editing to make sure you don’t have weird artifacts like page numbers the book name or author name. I can process a pdf to epub in 20 minutes at most (most are a minute it two) for average novel length, which I understand is a big ask for lots of folks but it’s worth it to me to have the file in a format that I can keep and use on pretty much anything.

The fact you confused it for insurance is telling enough of what kind of legal trouble Amazon will have gotten themselves into.
It’s not insurance, it’s a telehealth platform, you’re still expected to pay for other insurance for them to bill who then bills you.
Maybe I should start billing people to explain how people get billed through other billing networks, creating a never ending chain of middlemen and thieves sneaking value added fees in so many levels under you you can’t avoid them…

Amazon entered the field by buying One Medical and advertising remote visits included at no extra cost for 9$ a month. I just got the bill for my first remote visit, 305$ to establish care. I figured okay, I just did the wrong kind of remote visit, so I tried to get help with a sinus infection I haven’t been able to shake, they straight up won’t do the included visit, they want me to do another multiple hundred dollar video call again. When you sign up they say video visits are free with no asterisk or limits given.
I make too little money to qualify for assistance, so I have basically been told by my country that I am an acceptable loss in the name of profits.
I’m scared, any doctor here can just refuse to treat me because they don’t think I’ll pay, or even better, in my home state they can deny me healthcare just because I’m on HRT.
We just got some bad news about my partners health, and potentially mine, so it’s not a “maybe this won’t impact me” kind of thing. I need medical help and treatment now, not in thirty years when we decide the Amazon death panels were a terrible exploitative idea…

I wake up some mornings craving a slice of this pizza, but god help you if you go for lunch when they are running some god awful pizza and don't label it.
Sure, you thought it looked like sausage, but instead you get bacon cheeseburger on a ketchup mustard sauce with pickles hidden under a pound of cheese, hope you don't have sensory issues!
You can buy the whole pizza in 12 slices for $17 USD, but the slices are smaller, the mega slice in question is legitimately almost a quarter of the pizza, and is priced as an impulse item. I had no problem going by Casey's on my way into work, buying this plus an extra slice for like 9 dollars and basically eating a half a pizza and getting enough soda for half the day. It isn't a bad deal actually, and I had QUITE the appetite.
No, it's hot, with either a milk gravy, or breakfast cheese sauce (think nacho cheese without the sharpness), bacon or breakfast sausage with a bunch of cheese.

I had limited run CDs that spent their life temperature controlled and out of sunlight and they still had parts of the data layer “rot” away to the point they aren’t listenable at all anymore.
After I found those I started getting records on vinyl instead.
Jeff Bezos handed the CEO position to Jassy or whatever the fuck their name is prior to the rocket launch so if it went catastrophically wrong the stock price wouldn’t absolutely tank. Jeff is still a big shaker and mover with the board and effectively is still the CEO, even if not on paper.
As a side note, that was the trip they hyped up as “getting new perspectives from artists” and sent Shatner up there. When they came back down shatner was SHOOK and basking in the afterglow that a new perspective of the insignificance of their self brings and starts trying to articulate such a mind altering experience. Bezos met that energy by pulling out booth babes to champagne shower himself.

Just remember the first of those impeachment hearings was about the extortion of Ukrainian President Zelenskyy by threatening to withhold military aid in “a perfect phone call” If they didn’t run cover for the election interference allegations in the 2016 election and offer up dirt on Hunter Biden.
There is no timeline where the republicans would have received it any better.
It only took a couple of months after the invasion happened and they realized the withholding aid in the past looked like it created the atmosphere to facilitate the invasion and suddenly all the people who were praising journalists in body armor in the Middle East were criticizing journalists for wearing body armor in Kyiv, and start backing Russia for “reasons” (I still can’t really get any concrete reason from any of them).
The only reason I’ve been given why it was a “ Partisan attack” was that it was revenge for Bill Clinton being impeached for lying about a blow job under oath, as if that diminishes the levity of the situation in the first place.
I heard rumors that the Indian government switched to some specific Unix like that has accounted for a lot of that, but I have zero experience on the matter aside from someone saying that could be it.

I would like to do something like that but I don’t want to be scrutinized about technically being a bootleg publisher.
The books I did it to are from small authors writing for niche communities and I don’t want to make it easier to pirate than buy in that case. Anyone else can find those same PDFs on a website easy to search and well recommended by the community so the information is available, and if they want an ePub they can format it themselves or just buy the version from Amazon and support the author.
