  • I came her to ask the same question.

Good for you, but you don't have to make anyone cum just to ask

  • "You ask too much of him"

    "Child, I was not asking"

  • Girthmeister is a god tier username

  • No dont eat it! You're supposed to break it in half like a wishbone.

  • A couple notes:

    1. Mizrahi is a modern term used to erase the European origin of many Jewish communities living in the former Ottoman empire.
    2. This argument is often used by Zionists to suggest that the majority of the modern Israeli population is made up of indigenous groups. This is not correct.

  • People with healthy egos are able to register that someone does not want them as a romantic partner without having a crisis, yes.

I see I've upset some users today. This may seem like stating the obvious but clearly some people here need to hear it:

If you are emotionally devastated by rejection you likely do not have a healthy ego or self-image. This is the confidence part.

Assigning responsibility for fixing your self-image to a potential romantic partner is seeking external validation for an internal problem.

No amount of external validation will fix you. It will only feed the unhealthy expectations you're already acting on.

Confidence is the external display of a healthy self-image (overconfidence is another example of external display of an unhealthy self-image).

Potential partners can sense your desperation for validation and it is not an attractive personality trait. It's basically saying "I need you to do this emotional labor for me because I am not strong enough".

No one wants to do your emotional work for you.

  • If it's breaking down your confidence than you are not ok with rejection.

  • Yes but direct gas impingement on a rubber chicken is going to wear some parts. Better to have an indirect system and avoid carbon deposits in your comedy noisemakers.

  • Adapting language to bypass censorship is one of the dictionary definitions of Newspeak, a form of circumlocution.

  • Ok, so like how it limits the ability to convey ideas via conversation then?

  • Accused/Convicted sex offender row on the bottom there

  • I work at a specialized manufacturer, and we have a light table for inspecting parts. If you look at the table surface you'll find floaters you didn't even know about. It's freaky how many there are.

  • 2 other people play on my account from sub accounts on the console. They each play multiple games per month. $12 is less than $60, so even a single new game each month saves me money.

Paying for demos? I'm not sure why you think there aren't any good games on there. Halo, Starfield, Fallout, Cities Skylines, Forza, Mass Effect, Tomb Raider, Far Cry, Assassins Creed, Yakuza, Dead Space, blah blah blah.

And that's not including all the smaller games my kids have found. Human Fall Flat, Rubber Bandits, Donut County, Frog Detective are all games we found that we otherwise would never have spent money on.

I don't support subscription only models, but that doesn't mean some aspects aren't a good value.

  • I use gamepass. I've definitely saved money with the amount of games my household has played.

I buy games I really like and just try them on gamepass.

  • So the people who stayed at your company after WFH was taken away are the ones that think the office is better.

    Definitely an engineer.
