  • We've got a couple of hue lights inside the house and we're always wanting to expand the collection but they're so bloody expensive.

Seems like there's a few different options that I've seen online that'll work with Hue and Zigbee, but haven't done enough research to know what's best.

  • Yeah we've cut down on the number of different types we've planted. Gone for the ones we actually like and the good growers from last year.

We weren't gonna do tomatoes this year either, but then decided to give the grafted ones a go. Fingers crossed 🤞

  • Sort of but not really. If we'd go second hand, ideally I'd like something like a hybrid corolla, but if we were to get a new car probably a mid sized suv hybrid.

If we get a second hand car, it's most likely gonna be a stop gap (and it'll replace my car in a few years time, and we'll get another larger car)

  • Needing to buy another car, and mulling over getting a 2nd hand one vs a new one.

I know a new one doesn't make financial sense, and I've never done it.... But for some reason I just don't want to go through the rigamarole of trying to buy a decent non-lemon 2nd hand one.

  • My fear of this happening (which I thought was irrational) has now been validated as being real.

I used to live in an apartment that had a swimming pool built on top of some commercial units, and every time I'd swim, I had a fear of falling through.

  • just from having a think about it, your basically going DC (from the battery) to AC from the inverter back to DC via some inverter incorporated into the Festoon lights right? Do you already have the lights?, Or are there versions of the light that use DC?

  • I can't be of any help but those Ryobi ones look quite interesting. Didn't know they existed. Though at 150W, you'd be constantly changing out batteries!

Does your lighting plus straight an AC wall outlet?

  • Yeah definitely great to have that extra space :)

Though our second one is on the ground floor, and our kitchen is up on the floor above - so I find myself not really using the bottom one too much, and/or forgetting whats in the one downstairs.

  • My storage started off pretty similar, then I added some storage containers, and then I couldn't find stuff so I repurchased things I already had etc, so I put together a simple Google Sheet with all my inventory lol. Might add which container etc, each part is located to make it extra easier lol.
