I also recently cut down on my caffeine consumption and have felt a lot better.
I used to feel a bit weird sometimes in the afternoon - a nauseous/sickly feeling, and after doing the math on how much caffeine I was having on a regular basis (morning capsule coffee, 3~4 cups of green tea during the work day, and a drip coffee just after lunch), figured it might of been the cause.
Have really cut down to a coffee in the morning, and a cup or two of tea throughout the day, and haven't felt ill since.
We have council wheelie bins here and pay for tags for each collection.
I'm guessing they don't have a problem with people using "recycling" wheelie bins as rubbish bins when clearly marked with a rubbish tag, as that must've been what the previous owner was doing.
I will still do the occasional drip coffee from home ground beans, but I see myself more often than not using Pods with Allpress capsules, or even more recently Korean "Maxim" instant coffee.
Oh don't do that.... You're not giving me hope haha.
It's weird. We had got all the comms saying that the consent process was underway, and then got comms saying it was all finalized and good to go, and then their contractors come around and say that.
Currently on 4G Wireless Broadband as an interim, but it's a bit of a struggle haha
Man, it's been a pretty hectic week with moving and all that. A few parts of the body that are aching a bit 😂
Still haven't got Fibre internet (even though we started the process about 6 Weeks ago. The Chorus Techs came on site to do their initial scoping, and said they don't do Shared Driveways (even though we outlined everything in the application) 🤷♂️. Been a whole lot of no communication since then.
Haha, yeah it's a bit of a behavioral change. My reddit doom scrolling has sort of migrated to Youtube Shorts Doom Scrolling, which I have found to be very addictive unfortunately :(
Yeah, previous job had a nice campus with food, coffee, nature, people etc, which I do miss from time to time. I don't however, miss the drive in and out. If we lived closer to work, that would probably get me going in every now and again.
I read a post yesterday (on AskLemmy I think it was?), where someone was asking if they thought Lemmy had gotten a bit more quiet over the last few weeks, and someone answered that this would probably be the case where we see certain events drive a whole bunch of new users onto Lemmy, then slowly decrease until the next big event and so on, until Lemmy reaches a certain critical mass.
I wonder what the next big event would be that sees a lot of new users come here.
Ooh I love rooibos. Just a really nice drink to have :)
