There’s a satirical (well, don’t know how long it will be considered that) movie about it… it’s called Idiocracy

Totally. You’re stressed out if you can smoke at your destination, so you smoke more at home, then one before you get going, one when you arrive, and one before you know if you can smoke there, one again after you realize that there’s a smoking area.

And while it is scientifically proven, that smoking lowers anxiety and stress, the anxiety and stress the abundance of being able to smoke, or even not smoking for some time, causes, is waaaay worse than not smoking in the first place.

That 5 minutes of smoking where you don’t do anything but think and enjoy a pieceful smoke… I miss that as well. I quit smoking 4 years ago.

I had a Microsoft surface laptop with a SIM card that allowed me to make calls. I never used it. It was not practical. I tested it once, yes, but no.

I was born as a child of hunters, cooks and farmers that turned finances. I was born ready.

Give me a scenario outside of where computers are already in use as telephones (like callcenters and such) where it would be beneficial to use the laptop instead of the phone.

Granted, it’s stupid, it’s cheesy, it’s anime, it’s taking itself a little bit too serious, but I like it. Oh, and the Style-Boutique game series on the Nintendo 3 DS! If you know a tech savvy person who can Mod a 2DS or 3DS you can get the console for cheap and put the game on there from the internet. My wife and one of my coworkers loved these games!

[I totally want to start a thread about how Red Dead Redemption (GTA but it’s the wild wild west-era with cowboys) has the best horse riding experience in any game until now and how a horse riding game with the mechanics would be amazing, but I’ll just plant this seed here and hope for some game-dev to see it.]

A lot more people will be unable to acquire a lot of things. There will be a lot more crime.

The higher tariffs are paid by the importers, who make the customer pay for that. And considering that the minimum wage is now below the poverty line, a lot of electronics, even necessities like washing machines and fridges, will be unaffordable by some people.

And what is the result when a lot of people can’t afford basic necessities? Crime.

Give it a year.
