Sounds perfectly reasonable to me.

If there’s a fork, it’ll probably be an easy migration/in-place upgrade.

I just need someone to implement dragging tags out immediately into windows, with my tiling window manager (fancyzones) I have to pull out the Firefox tab, let go so it’ll spawn the actual window, the drag it again to where I want it.

I tried getting into the weeds of the code, but there’s a lot there, it’s buried behind like 2/3 other standing issues that no one is working on…. For like 10 years

Mine just doesn’t auto-install with windows, on new machines / windows installs I have to go out of my way to manually download and apply the drivers to get it working. But hey, ~14 years of printing for $100 ain’t bad

I think printer purchasers are an “investment” to the company because they are a loss leader (or close to it)…. Low to no margin to pull you into the shitty ecosystem.

I’m partial to freetaxusa, one of the IRS partners. They made it relatively easy to do my Uber taxes without paying anything.

Yeah, I got paid to do gradschool. Not much cuz I didn’t shop around and just stayed where I did undergrad, but yeah, once you’re doing research, they should be paying you.

As for who those few are, well, I wouldn’t myself… probably… but I’d definitely like the option of taking my laptop to someone like Louis Rossmann who can do such work. He’s even shown that sometimes the ram gets destroyed by apples weird circuit designs and if it was just soldered on, the laptop and all your data would actually be salvageable.

I believe my Prius is up for next, as in go to the next highest index song.

Gen 2 Prius had both left and right, with the volume clearly labeled as up to the right

But even soldered ram isn’t as bad as in-cpu ram. Soldered ram can be replaced/upgraded by skilled technicians. I don’t think that’s possible at all with in-cpu ram.
