  • I actually hated that one because it really didn't mesh with my mental image.

Hogfather on the other hand, was awesome

  • Ski Resort Tycoon.. 3 I think? ... Lots of Tycoon games in fact. Think what could be done with them if they had a big budget nowadays

  • Doesn't need to be windy if the waves have a good run in from where it is windy though. Can still be quite impressive!

  • If he doesn't, then he could come out and state that and address all of the republican problems.

  • Who/what is ADL?

  • The stronger the material the thinner it could be.

There are a lot of properties in the word 'stronger' though.

  • You have to be pretty close to sniff Bluetooth data though. So fine at home, less so in a busy public space. (The chances of someone there trying to hack your Bluetooth is still astranomically small)

  • ... I assume they have both the phone and laptop with them when they are away from home?

  • It's mostly fine, but sometimes I still miss stuff. For example, I haven't seen anything on the Spanish ski lift incident on here (it's probably somewhere), but I bet that would have popped up for me on Reddit.

(And I think I have done a pretty good job of curating my experience here)

  • I believe that the newest Lemmy versions count up/down voting as 'active'

  • What are you classifying as 'affordable'?

  • I thought the cross licensing deal between AMD and Intel basically collapses if one gets bought out?

So intel wouldn't be able to make 64 bit processors any more?

  • Didn't some of the old russian capsules have a gun as standard to shoot any dangerous wildlife when they landed in Siberia? Not sure if that has continued, probably not a good idea anyway!

  • Between spaceX and Blue Origin they managed a full mission!

(Blue origin got to orbit, but lost their booster, spaceX caught the booster, but lost the starship)

  • .... I mean, Iceland doesn't have oil, it's an island made by volcanoes on a plate boundary.

  • Iceland has loads of green energy though (geothermal & wind) and is too far from anywhere else to really transport it (although that would be nice!). So it is helping, and it is helping to advance the technology/engineering knowledge for the future.

The fracking ones being built by the oil companies are less beneficial.... Better than not doing it probably, but not exactly green..... So with you on those ones!

  • The Icelandic one isn't.

The ones run by oil companies are.
