Given that there weren't any signs or barriers, it sounds like the local authorities are the ones at fault here. It could even be that that didn't file the proper paperwork to indicate that it collapsed. Google gets it's information from some database and if their sources aren't accurately reporting data as they should, google wouldn't have any way of knowing that the bridge collapsed. Ultimately, hazards like this should be clearly blocked off. Google doesn't have the power to do that.
The expectation of safety should be on the local authorities. Clearly marking that the bridge is unsafe to drive over with signs and blocking off the area. While google should have marked it as an inaccessible route, it's the local authorities that should be looking out for the safety of drivers in that situation.
Why would the time of day change what apps people are using? Same with how long the poll was up? Neither of those factors have any relevance to the topic of the poll.
That's really not a valid argument for 99% of users. I'm not going to fork FOSS software because I'm an adult and have a full time job. I don't have the time to learn about the inner workings of the software to fix it. Most users are less tech savvy than myself, anyways. Saying "just fork it and fix it to your liking" to the average person is not realistic.
If a lock is broken, then you might call a locksmith to fix or replace it. This is something that happens frequently and isn't as absurd as you make it out to be.
Honestly doubt anyone will vote differently because of attire. If anything, the conservative commentators will say that the Dems are being lazy and undignified if they aren't wearing suits. We'll probably see most senators continuing to dress formally anyways because it's a symbol of power.
All they do is stall the system and prevent things that will genuinely help the working class. Want to win against the GOP? Pass meaningful legislation that improves people's lives. The reason we're in this mess is because the democratic party is too timid to actually take a solid stance and do what's necessary against the problems in this country. Having a big tent only makes it more difficult to make meaningful changes. DNC infighting just helps the GOP.
People who are for "law and order" are generally just simping for cops. I do agree that it's kind of a ridiculous phrase but there are strong connotations that come along with it.
