I put the paperclip in with other paperclips at my office supply warehouse. Do I live in an office supply warehouse? Yes. The investigators will have to rifle though millions of loose paperclips and thousands of boxed paperclips. They have to search my shipping and my receiving areas. As I'm leaving, a woman sees me. She says "can you sell me some office supplies?" . She's the lead investigators. I say no. We make love all night. In the morning the cops come and I escape in one of their uniforms. I tell her to meet me in Mexico but I go to Canada. I don't trust her. Besides, I love the cold. Thirty years later I get a postcard. I have a son. And he's the Chief of Police. This is where the story gets interesting: I tell her to meet me in Paris by the Trocadero. She's been waiting for me all these years. She's never taken another lover. I don't care. I don't show up. I go to Berlin. That's where I shipped the paperclip.

At first, it was an impossibly expensive medium rules by a cartel of agencies and advertisers. Eventually, HBO comes along and shows you don't have to just make a bunch of lowest common denominator drivel.

Netflix eventually shows that the internet can be a way cheaper model than cable. Finally, money shows up in the streaming model, remaking advertiser friendly cable in the internet age. All in about 2.5 decades.

Dear ladies and gentleman of the jury. I will now argue that the LLM that programmed the fire breathing dog, did so in such a manner as to make it sentient. The dog was able to and did act of it's own accord when it killed the woman, Ms Smith. The defendant here did not create sentience in the dog, nor could he have known turning the dog on, outside, may result in the fire breathing dog torch a bystander to death.

You can see here, the dogs walking and urination patterns closely align with a real, organic dog. This definitively proves that the dog killed the woman, and now the defendant, who only released the dog into nature. Thank you very much.

I see this confusion elsewhere. Political can mean both "ripe for ideological arguments that drown out anything else" and "relating to [US] government and political parties"

Its a venn diagram often. But I can see why some communities don't want the same predictable "vegans are assholes"/"well meat eaters hate the planet" rehashing all the time.

Its so loud and weird I often think it's astro turfed. I haven't met an annoying vegan in decades. And most omnivores I know want to eat less meat. It's a rancorous debate that seems to only exist online.

Sure, the US has lots of places with no open container laws. I doubt you are going to go take a taxi outside of the city to drink a couple beers though...

If if were me? I'd give them to a homeless guy, or just leave them in my hotel room. Because yeah, most places either won't let you bring outside drinks (besides some fancy restaurants where you will need to buy a fancy meal) or will forbid alcohol entirely. Potential to bring them home in a checked bag.
