Waydroid run a rootful LXC container and removes disables much of Android's security (for example SELinux). With a container escape, an attack could trivially gain root on the host.
That sounds awful. I'm sorry your experience on Linux was filled with troubleshooting. Sounds like hardware issues.
My favorite distros at the moment for "ease of use" is Fedora Workstation or Fedora Silverblue. They have a large user base and are well supported, making it easier to fix problems, which personally I have experienced very little.
The title is unrelated to the image, the only commonality is the image refers to diagnosis and being poor. Healthcare does discriminate against the poor but the image isnt an example.
I heard that he was a scammer or pseudo privacy expert from other comments. I wouldn't recommend that phone. If you care about the privacy or security of your device, use DivestOS with a supported Pixel/OnePlus, or GrapheneOS with a Pixel. Only buy the phone new if you are super paranoid of some zero-day vulnerability being used on you. I recommend swappa.com because they have quality control, returns, and good prices for used devices (you can even get mint quality devices).
iodeOS has been behind on security updates often (still better security against unsophisticated attacks than Ubuntu but not a good ROM): https://divestos.org/pages/patch_history
Since SteamOS isnt available on desktop, check out these distros instead:
Bazzite (the best option)
Nobara (another good option)
