  • Tbf Bethesda has been making themselves look bad since fallout 3.

  • I love gg's aesthetic but I can't get into buying a new installment and not having all the characters I have on previous games. It seems to be in vogue in fighting games these days. Except for smash. They just keep expanding the roster. It's weird when Nintendo is the beacon of customer value.

  • Apologies. In my poor country we don't have urinals with hand and dick washing built in. /s

  • It's natural to try to escape prison and that shouldn't be a crime. As long as no one is injured in the process. Police tricking people into committing more crimes to lock them up longer, or just messing with them with the helicopter is just cruelty. ACAB.

  • The first one was probably trying to get them to try to escape in order to charge them with more crimes, because ACAB. And the second is plain-ole misogyny.

  • Yeah. I always try to check when crossing bike lanes but we need the ones that have a physical barrier b/t the roadway and bike lanes.

  • Because I've had this conversation too many times before:

If you use the urinal, wash your hands. Even if you didn't have to touch it to flush, wash your hands. Your dick is not "cleaner than the door handle", wash your hands.

  • You can probably stick the antenna on the back of the base so it's not easily visible. Or get a separate one that's a lot smaller.

  • Man I hope not. The owner or the truck or trucking company, or whoever was paid to transport the load, should be held liable. They paid the driver, subcontracted to an independent contractor and are therefore responsible for the performance. They could sue the driver/sub if they felt they misperformed by insurance should eat that trucking company alive for this.

  • Speak for yourself.

  • Ron Desantis is trying to kill your children!

Don't get why his opponents aren't running ads like that continuously.

  • MS doesn't care about ROI or the games. They just want to control big studios and ips so they can force people into that Xbox ecosystem. Monthly subscriptions are where the money currently is at. And if they can dominate games they can shape the future to ensure more people stay in the MS product line.

  • Helmet guy looks like he could use a healing draught.

  • There's less info now than a few years ago and it's harder to find. Web 2.0 has put most of the data and traffic into just a few hands. And as we can see with Twitter that can lead to a significant part of the Internet going to shit overnight.

Hell, most of us are here because of what reddit did overnight. It's certainly better than the age of web rings but we've entered a downturn.

  • Uh no. They never did before. They don't actually have positions or values, just teams.

  • A flower is only a flower because it falls.

  • Big agree about Harrow the Ninth. It is a very challenging read and if you liked the series enough I strongly suggest to re-read Harrow. Really all of them. The Locked Tomb series is a mystery/horror series where the last 1/3-1/4 reveals most of the mysteries you could have puzzled out by reading it. So they are a lot of fun to re-read and catch all the clues you missed the first time. Especially with the knowledge of what happens later (Book 3: Nona really explains a lot of world-building stuff that makes the earlier setting make more sense. Did you know cows look at the sunset?)

But Harrow is another beast in this vein. For anyone reading it for the first time or wanting to: Harrow is told from an extremely unreliable narrator who is processing immense trauma and incredibly esoteric magic. Not all of the events are happening at the time the book suggests (flash backs and forwards are not called out) and the narrator doesn't always know either. The end really ties it all together with a coffin lid.

  • Killing an animal because you don't want it is animal cruelty. Maybe not legally but the laws rarely follow public morality.

If animals are in excess there are shelters and they have better ways than a gunshot in a gravel pit.

  • We don't mutilate and torture convicts. Rather, we aren't supposed to but Louisiana is a shit hole.

  • Animal cruelty. Why isn't she charged?
