  • But the Dark Soul is Humanity's soul, broken up among mortals. Kaathe was right: killing the fire is the goal. Keeping it alight like Gwyn did past it's normal period brought ruin to the world and disturbed the natural order. I.e. the rich and powerful stole humanity's time and fate!

  • Yes, they still exist. I am both salaried and clock my hours. I have to clock 80/2 weeks and I need approval to clock more than that. If I do, I get comp time or overtime if pre-approved. Including for traveling for work. I don't clock my actual times, just hours worked per day. So no annoying 15min accountability that I've heard of from other companies. I think I technically have to take a 30min lunch but I haven't heard noises about that for like, a decade. We've got hours we need to be available technically as well (9-3). I'm also 80% telework and I despise that 1 day a week I sit on the same Teams calls in the office.

  • The one I went to wasn't HS but they did great at adolescent development, including sexual development. They also never spoke about contraception, masturbation or abortion in sermons, lectures or classes.

  • Weirdly Catholic schools in America are often the least conservative and pushy on doctrine. I went to a Catholic school in NC and had the same experience essentially. Never got any brimstone and the priest had a few academic lectures on parts of the Bible.

  • They stole other services bases mostly and aren't even able to fully staff yet. They are either using the previous infrastructure or just leeching off of whatever base they are on.

  • Well the fire represents disparity, i.e. privilege. The darksign was a curse that was created to oppress the masses and keep humanity from gaining power. When the flames fail it'll finally be the age of humanity.

  • Neat. Glad it's coming soon. Feel like it's been forever. Glad that console versions share progress and cross play with PC and other consoles.

Really hope we can use controller on PC as well.

  • Well here's hoping this judge is tired enough of Trump's shit.

  • Don't people that are sentenced to prison but appeal still serve until the appeals are done? I don't have faith he'll be sentenced to prison but whatever he gets should be in effect unless one of his appeals goes through right?

  • To his supporters there isn't a legitimate trial.

  • I miss holographic stuff. Objectively made it harder to read but was still cool.

  • Lichen Sub-Scribe. Clearly a fungal person who is notating every occurrence and likes to be dommed.

  • Please comment as it drives the algorithm!

  • , but I only really care about it to the extent that it’s a risk to other people.

It's almost always a risk to other people. I can't think of a vaccine that is for a non-communicable disease. Not getting vaccinated means you can become a carrier or get sick and spread the illness. This means that herd immunity is lowered and people who can't get the vaccine, or those who did but whose bodies didn't adapt to it, are vulnerable to that person spreading it. Not getting vaccinated can mean you are liable (not legally) for other people's deaths!

  • Lol. I didn't see that video. That's barely even off-roading. My Mazda3 might be able to climb back up that little hill. Problems with its 4 wheel drive? That's a pretty basic feature. EVs generally already have AWD so transitioning to 4WD is a software change, I think? How is it that bad?

  • Two of the court's conservative justices—Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito—are in their seventies, while Sonia Sotomayor, a liberal, will turn 70 next month.

So we need to replace Thomas and Alito with progressive justices and either keep Sotomayor or replace her with a progressive justice as well to get to 5 non-conservative justices.

That's a big IF. 4 years for 4 SCOTUS justices to retire? And the conservatives know this? I bet Alito and Thomas won't retire just to fuck the country up longer. Especially Thomas. He hates this country and every non-rich person in it.

  • Well the carboniferous period lasted 60 million years. If life takes even a fraction of that to figure out plastics, humans will be long, long dead by the time they do. But I'm sure it'll be something interesting for future non-human civilizations to ponder over.

  • Did I say we need to keep fttp voting? Hell no. I advocate against it.

Good, me too. But you're not talking about something that will take years to decades. You're talking about November. Try to stay on the topic you yourself raised and try not to increase voter apathy with your pointless whining. You know who wants democrats and leftists to be disillusioned about voting for Biden? Trump supporters. So try not to sound like them.

  • Yes you are. Because Trump will accelerate the genocide. He has been vocal about that. Neither have the right stance in this but one is clearly worse.

That's how fptp and party politics work. Not voting is handing a bigger vote to whichever side you dislike more. This is just grade school civics.
