  • Cities are where the jobs, the events and the people are. Most people don't want to live in suburban hell or middle of nowhere.

  • I can't even imagine what 300,000 human corpses does to a place. How do you even manage that over a short period and fairly small location?

  • I just noticed something about this scene from R&M: they have solid color wallpaper. Do people actually do that? I think I only ever saw patterned wallpaper. Also the idea you can just grab the paper in the center implies such a degree of hand strength to be silly.

  • If you're seeing them here, there was quite a bit here where posting old memes was a thing. It wasn't just then making it to the fediverse, but nostalgia posting.

  • Don't forget the mortgage rates are sky high so even people with 20% can't really afford to buy. Corporations buy for cash.

  • It'll be far too late to save global society by then.

  • Is there anywhere in the bible that requires the formal act of confession? Can't you just always repent personally? It's not like the omniscient deity can't read your mind.

  • (novice) Why would you get UDP packets multiple times? UDP doesn't check for acceptance I thought.

  • Send him to a Conversion Camp for a month if that's what he thinks. Fuck him.

  • To be fair, it seems like they've made 5 games and 4/5 weren't very good. Not surprised this was their last hurrah. I know Steam scores generally don't equate directly to sales, let alone profits, but it seems like the company was struggling.

  • Yeah, look at Starfield. It has really nice looking textures and objects. Everything else is a disappointment or mediocre. Maybe excepting the Ship Builder feature.

  • Wait, this isn't The Onion?

Well firstly Mr. Founder, your employees mostly AREN'T SHAREHOLDERS! Why would they care about other people's profits? They work at Panera, not as part of some start-up. Their individual work isn't going to meaningfully impact on whether or not Panera closes their stores and they lose their jobs. So why should they give a shit? Do YOU care about how viable their wages are? Maybe you should make all your employees shareholders and they've have some incentive to want the stock to rise?

I thought you were good at business?!

  • Technically, yes. It's a fallacy to call all of the hateful christians "not real". Since there's just so many that identify and are identified as christians that are hateful, it's mostly an academic distinction.

It IS interesting that so many christains don't follow their own faith. For it is true that to be an overtly hatefuly or bigoted person is to ignore the core teachings of christianity.

  • Lol. I wonder how many of those emails went straight into the spam folder.

  • Orange juice doesn't really retain flavor for very long. Most use added flavors. If you've ever bought orange juice from an orchard in florida you'll know the difference. Doesn't seem to really be practical to do this but I guess people prefer non-frozen for the name at least.

  • That's exactly what fly is for. Level 10 parties aren't challenged by simple terrain.

Also it's a game. Your can run yours preplanned or improvised as much as you and your players like.

  • Cool. And that exists in that game. But that's not the core of dnd.
