I go into a meditative, Zen-like Trance playing the Doom titles.

For reference, I've been playing Doom since it came out in 1993, arguably, I've played it for more hours than possibly anyone alive on the Internet at the present moment. Maybe over a solid 128,000 hours between D1/D2/D3/D2016/D:Eternal.

I still play it, various MegaWADS featured in the CacoAwards, and whatnot, but I digress.

Only one pedestal has raised, the pots have caused the animation to bug out and the game engine to assume that the pedestal is in the final position on the floor.

You're not going to believe this but, I smashed DQD on my keyboard as a child by accident after typing in ID for IDKFA.

I'm not entirely certain how I managed to brute force discover a cheat code, but at least 3 other phrases enabled GODMODE in the original doom.

I've always held DooM as some of the original simulation hypothesis proof.

The game is a treat, but struggles to run on many systems, so my recommendation is the following:

FSR 3.1: Quality (66% resolution scale)

Frame Generation: On

AMD Fluid Motion Frames 2: On

1440p Epic on a 7900XTX averages 60 FPS in busy towns like Rostok.

60 FPS Native -> 120 FPS FSR 3.1 -> 240 FPS AFMF

I've got a 240 Hz OLED (for the dark scenes), and the total video draw latency with all of that is 3.11 ms.
