  • I used to work as a bartender and we kept a pump bottle of hand sanitizer on the sink just in case we were so busy that a 20-second hand wash wasn't reasonable. -We used thermal paper almost exclusively and I know for a fact that I occasionally had alcohol-laden hands when I was handling that thermal paper.

  • If you are non-white in the US, you should be carrying around a replica grenade when you leave the house, and if they gestapo try to grab you can try to bluff your way back to safety.

    I’m only joking a little.

I'm pretty sure people have a theoretical right to protect themselves from illegal kidnappings regardless of who's doing the illegal kidnapping. Either way, I don't think a stance on protecting one's self from kidnapping is that edgy or controversial of a stance as your comment seems to imply it is.

  • The Wolfenstein 3D minigame contained within Wolfenstein The New Order is probably the best one I've come across. I may be biased though since Wolfenstein 3D is probably one of my Top 5 all-time favorite games.

  • I can’t fathom why anyone would want to live in the US as a life choice.

It boils down to what it always does. Some places are worse and those places have people that want something better, while there are also places that are way better but they mostly have immigration laws that are just as strict as our own while almost all of us have family ties in our country of origin.

If I had been capable of getting a PhD in my hard science of choice then went on to make bank after college, you better believe i'd be residing in one of my (pipe)dream countries around the EU.

  • I find all forms of capital retribution to be barbaric, in addition to having the problem of killing potentially innocent people. Add to that it's hard to argue that a justice-system can even exist when a prosecutor can just dangle the death penalty over a defendants head if they don't sign a plea.

-With all of that in mind I've always found the idea of a firing squad to be the least unappealing option out of all of the multiple unappealing options. Guns were specifically designed to effectively kill people with hundreds of years of iteration built into them. Our military and our Allies military sometimes even use them to kill children. a skilled shooter and a stationary target can make it quick. -At least, that's what I can imagine.

  • The second the tarriffs were first announced I was notified the 3-4 of the products I had on my Amazon "Save For Later" list had simultaneously increased in price, and they were all things that were expected to ship from outside the country.
