  • The reason why these legal threats work on large publications and agencies like Reuters is they have staff and business units in India. TechDirt being a small outfit based solely in the US has the luxury of telling Appin to eat shit and suffer little to no consequences.

    Now why some of these other US based publications are toeing the line set by Khare is baffling.

  • Those systems are shit. I had one in a fleet truck and I had to explain to management why I was going 65 in a 45 mph zone. I was on the highway, but the GPS system placed me on the frontage road that runs next to the highway.

    Now imagine if instead of an alert to the management it slowed my vehicle down suddenly. That's a problem on a busy highway.
