  • Who even wants this tunnel, I want trains, subways, streetcars and priority bus lanes.

Density of neighborhood's should be top of mind with mid-rise 3-6 levels and less condo development. We need schools in neighborhoods within walking distance for children to walk within neighborhoods and not on outskirts, we need multi use zoning to allow stores inside our neighborhoods.

We need to curb sprawl that forces people to commute these long distances always stuck in traffic.

We need to turn existing suburbs into examples of Toronto's Riverdale, a suburb in North America that is on par in density with that of towns in the Netherlands.

Video that shows this concept: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWsGBRdK2N0

  • Best way I could come up representing what i believe OP may have been talking about.

Think of the top small floating line as the "real" mouse pointer, and the black line at the bottom as the screen where the "content" is. The shadow of the floating pointer (grey line) is what OP implies should actually interact with the screen. Not the tip of the "floating" pointer.

  • Remember not all studies on the health effects of substance use are there to advocate that the substance be made illegal. Smoking as a example is still around and there are countless studies available to the public to make informed decisions.

Substance use should be up to the individual like all choices that can effect you directly, "my body my choice" so to say. All individuals should have access to all knowledge available freely and without prejudice.

Studies on cannabis use becoming more common should be seen as a good thing, as cannabis use has become less taboo and thus easier to study without researcher receiving backlash.

Now you may disagree with some studies, and that is your right. But to advocate against studies related to the substance IMO at least is hypocritical, as it advocates against the very thing that made the substance legal.

I am a non-smoker and have not tried cannabis, but believe people should have the freedom to choose

  • No worries, also just to let you know. I have a TrueNAS and a unraid server.

The TrueNAS server has a Unraid samba share mounted. Within TrueNAS you setup a pull task where it copies files from your remote system to keep the directory in sync. Any changes on my unraid samba share are backed up to my TrueNAS share on a predetermined schedule.

You might want to look into the pull task on your TrueNAS which will be a lot easier then trying to push files from your OpenMediavault.

  • If both servers are running TrueNAS (scale or core) the best way to backup a TrueNAS system to another is by using zfs replication.

You could also do the following.

    1. Setup site2site VPN connection of your choosing. IPSEC maybe.
    2. Temporally do the setup of the secondary TrueNAS at Site 1, unless you are sure your Site 2 is good.
    3. Configure the second TrueNAS to Pull data from the primary unit. FYI, pull configuration uses it's own login credentials is a higher level of security.
    4. Migrate the second TrueNas unit to the site 2. This way you aren't diagnosing both the Pull config and VPN settings at the same time.
  • Phones will still use android, but manufacturers are looking to de-google android so it's not as heavily reliant on google services.

A example is the removal of the required Google play store.

Laptop manufacturers are also looking to move away from windows to a linux bases operating system.

TBH this is the best news I have heard all week.
