This sounds like the point where you dive into the next rabbit hole of making enclures. At least I could see that happening.

I'm looking to make some wooden enclosures for some things myself.

I'm fine with just using the .deb .

I don't dislike flatpak and it's good that it exists but I prefer not using it if I don't have to.

Makes me curious about everything included in the one on the right.

Could somebody translate it?

There's nothing wrong with relying on medication. I just wanted to state that.

Don't ever randomly stop taking medication. Always consult a doctor first.

Even with medication I am not in a good place right now. But I am glad I don't have the thoughts of hurting myself thanks to the meds.

Good on you. I was still watching cartoons in 1996. To be fair I matured very late (if ever).

The fact that some of us own land and others the rest of us have to pay them to live on it.

Or the fact that we have to pay to have a roof over our heads. Like how is that not essential to living? Why are there people making money out of essential things like housing, schools, electricity, water, etc?

What I notice is a lot of petrochemical companies, conglomerates, politicians and attorneys. And Facebook.Our best bet would be to steer clear of those, or at least as much as possible.

I have personally switched to a cleaner car (no electric since I cannot yet afford them), walk and cycle more often, no longer buy Unilever or Nestle products (though that's more of a moral reason) and am even stricter with my energy consumption. I try to use most of my belongings as long as possible (unless they consume a lot of power) and try to repair everything until it is so broken and worn out that I have to replace it. Which I will replace it with something of a good quality that will last many years and preferably made locally, always trying to prevent buying from Chinese companies. My landlord (it's a company but I can't think of the word for it) has installed solar panels on my home 4 years ago and I am using LED lights and have replaced all CRT tv's/monitors with LCD. Lights that are frequently used have been put on a timer or sensor so they are automatically switched off. Other lights are turned off when leaving the room. I have switched to an electrical stove to prevent the need for fracking gas and earthquakes caused by natural gas pumping.

What is there to talk about? We only know what's being shared outside of China. Which is not a lot. I watch the China show, which seems one of the few sources that doesn't just regurgitate the government propaganda but we can only do so much.

The best course of action for her is to leave China. Maybe not an option for her due to personal reasons, but staying in Shenzhen is her choice.
