Ah, I see, you just don't know what some words mean.
"Effective" doesn't mean "I very much like that". I was specifically opposing the narrative that Biden's administration doesn't do anything, you know, "sleepy Joe" propaganda point. Actually, they do a lot of things, they just don't advertise it to a general public very well.
I also never thought that Biden will try to do something that he wasn't trying to do ever, so him not implementing single payer healthcare plan, for example, isn't a testament to his effectiveness, but his political values.

What I am saying is, you didn't vote in the primaries at all, so now you stuck with whatever other people chose. And turns out, that guy isn't as bad as everyone thought, actually. Not good, but also not bad. It's just the system they have to operate in is incredibly fucked, and it's fucked because every 8 years or so US collectively decides that not bad is not good enough and decides to elect someone who explicitly wants to destroy everything they can.

You might prefer less authoritarian system now, but all your friends who are running around with rifles trying to do a coup are in it for power, it's just how the selection process goes, for everyone bright eyed idealist who will immediately relinquish his absolute authority that he just won by fighting a civil war, there will be 10 people who fought in civil war to get this absolute authority.

Ah, here we go. Finally we come to "don't vote" part of the rhetoric.

What boils my blood is that everyone kinda accepted right's reaction to the president. For them it's all about theatrics and how much of a frenzy the president can whip with a twitter account, and nobody cares about policies. Biden's administration is incredibly effective, they appoint people when they needed, they organise commissions when appropriate, they propose and support bills and legislations, you know, all the things that presidential administration is suppose to do, and apart from knee-jerk reaction on Israel issue, they were on the right side every time, and they fixed a lot of damage that previous guy made.
But Biden isn't a wanabe dictator that tries to rule around checks and balances to achieve loud social media headlines, so everyone calls him president asleep and waits for Trump but good (and I can't stress enough how bad that would be actually)

Then you get your single shot rifle and storm the the king's palace with it, against a bunch of people with single shot rifles, kill them all, kill a king, all his family, and thus establish a military goverment. Because it's apparently it's 19th century now.

Where the fuck have you found whatever weird esoteric distribs you are talking about, and why on earth did you went with those? Depending on the answer to the question, I kind of understand how you managed to make Arch "perform poorly" whatever that means in that regard, you need to have at least basic understanding to use Arch (or treat it as an opportunity to learn).
But you don't start your experiments with something from third page of Google, at that point you're an alpha tester.

I wasn't saying that we have everything available for Linux. Not yet, anyway. I was saying that whatever we have there is usually free and very customisable.
People committing from Windows and especially Mac infrastructure think that since they spent hundreds of dollars on software they use, they will have to do that again if they will swith to Linux. For a lot of people the thought of free software just never crossing the mind

I think you are talking about the situation that might be true 15 years ago, vut right now you'll be hardpressed to find anything that doesn't work out of the box on any modern distribution. I don't know what plugins and dependancies don't work on your machine, but I assure you it's not a universal experience, far from it.
Also, most of the software that you use on Linux is free, so you don't "buy" new couch if your old is built specifically for your old house, you learn to sit on any of the new ones that you can get for free at any moment

That's how politics generally works, you push for the issue for decades and if you're relentless enough you either finally push through it or you die. You also can and probably need to do all other things but you never stop pushing.
