Same day, after the event at the school, thankfully, but I was with several fellow graduates when it happened. There was an extremely popular steakhouse we all went to with our families, and every one of us who ordered the signature steak ended up getting food poisoning, and several of us ended up getting caught very suddenly by it.

Days over, no coming back from that. Time for a long shower, fresh clothes, and go back to bed. Probably not sleep, because I'll be dealing with embarrassment and flashbacks to graduating high school.

My only comfort still remains that I was not alone that day. Several of us got awful cases of food poisoning.

If you put a spool of silk next to a harp, the fans would lose their absolute shit at this point.

We've been starving for awhile.

"What if there's too much fire?" remains surprisingly relevant.

Though I guess we do have bigger expectations of what's too much fire, given regular events.

That's the great/terrible thing about parts of the U.S this time of year! You can do both in the same day! You can watch as the alerts for burn risk due to low humidity and high temperatures pops up alongside the freeze warning for the night.

It's just the best! I fucking hate it! You stay in layers until the sudden onset of heatstroke. You get to feel like the Mad Hatter is in control of the thermostat, always ready to change layers.

I haven't owned a tux in 20 years, and haven't been a man for 3.

Downside: Ticket fees and potentially clothes shopping.

I'm looking at attending one next month, proceeds are going to local LGBT youth programs, but goddamn. Minimum $35 to get in, $50 if you want VIP, and looking through my wardrobe, I have nothing to wear that qualifies for a black tie event. I'm currently maxing out at "high-middle class restaurant" attire.

Not just that, he's absolutely unspookable without a spine! We should all aim to become spookimmune, and break the skeletons hold over us.

That makes a weird kind of sense. It was moreso the sixteen minutes that threw me, all I could picture was two of them having a staring contest for 16 minutes and then suddenly sperm and eggs everywhere.

That is either a very strange mating ritual, or that cuttlefish is a narcissist.

Are we sure you're going to stay frozen for that millennia or two?

Or are you going to be like a sketchy gas station microwave burrito that halfway thawed before getting tossed into the proper section to refreeze due to climate change?

As a species, we are terrifyingly good at just ignoring shit. Not even always knowingly, just as a subconscious act.

Imma be that nerd. What the fuck would the implications be of this? Like, scrapping Homecoming(Because fuck Homecoming and using P.H like a mascot), I have taken Pyramid Head as a representation of James' guilt and desire for self-destruction as absolution. He no longer has to deal with his actions, his anything, if he simply gives in.

Love the concept, done absolutely adorably, but with a series as laden with metaphor and symbolism as Silent Hill, I can't help but go "Okay, but what if?"

Sometimes it's not about being that person, but finding the people who draw that person out of you naturally.

Sorry for looking at this a bit deeper than I really should. Hitting on something I've been really thinking about lately.
