I never defended him and I don´t get why you project such nonsense on me after I clearly wrote:
He is a despicable right-conservative populist who obviously says this for all the wrong reasons but that does not change the fact that the statement by itself is a correct one.
Are you unable to separate between the person and the statement?
He is a despicable right-conservative populist who obviously says this for all the wrong reasons but that does not change the fact that the statement by itself is a correct one. Humans can change their gender, that is possible because gender is a more or less internalised, socio-cultural and therefore psychological construct. The sex of a human on the other hand is an inherent, biological and physiological quality, written into each cells DNA. Therefore the sex of a person could only be changed by replacing chromosomes in every single cell of the individuals body. I very much hope for all trans people that it will become medically possible to change their sex in the future but at this point it is simply not medically possible and to deny this truth will not make the lifes of trans people better.
It probably is in a Lynch way. I mean, Lynch usually makes outstanding stuff and I generally like his work very much. Not this one though. I´am much more a fan of Dune than I´am of Lynch and his adaption strays far away from the book, much too far! They made up lots of bs for the Lynch film that is not in the books at all (like the stupid "heart plugs" for example). My point of critique is not general quality but the obvious lack of respect for the original material.
However - I like the new Dune film by Denis Villeneuve a lot because you can tell the script was actually written by people who respect Frank Herbert´s vision. I very much recommend watching it.
Then I would ask you to ask the admin who banned me what they banned me for and why they did it so that all my art uploads on !eurographicnovels@lemm.ee where deleted.
I have never heard or seen any of that appeal system you are talking about, where do I find the appeal button?
This is so obvious and dumb populism it reminds me of Trump because just like most of Trumps statements, it reads like bad satire. If this guy wouldn´t be in a position of power it would be quite funny to read ... !fuckcars@lemmy.world
