it's a pretty fun little city builder type game, except you're terraforming. it's very pretty but some of the mechanics can get a bit tedious.

This is DIY but the site does have an assembly service for their other boards, it might be worth contacting them about it.

most ortholinear keyboards I've seen have a numpad layer and are customisable by via or something, so if you're happy using a layer that definitely opens your options up.

The paid one is Kagi. I use it and the unlimited search plan just got a lot cheaper.

Taking the story at face value, imagine how horrible you'd feel knowing what you'd done. I really hope they are doing better now but fuck having those memories.

I love them in theory but every time I've tried it out it hasn't gone right, like the narrator's voice just wasn't doing it for me. It's a shame because I think I'd get a lot more reading done otherwise.

yes, google maps is still king fothat I guess. After a bit more searching on Kagi, though, I'm really liking it, is there a way to see how many searches you have left?

I just started trialling kagi the other day and I'm enjoying it so far but one thing I miss is how reliably Google can tell me opening hours when I search for a local cafe. The web results have been better so far, though.

I used to browse by new and once you filtered out all the crypto scams it was usually pretty fun and diverse. I do the same on Lemmy now, but there's a lot less stuff to filter. Haven't used Reddit since the API announcement and never looked back, though.

I dislike that you used quotes to misrepresent what they said by making them sound like a cartoon caveman. Poor form.

Also I remember why I and, presumably, a lot of others moved to chrome in the first place. Firefox started getting really bloated and adding a bunch of default features that people either didn't want or already used an extension for, the main selling point of firefox back then was extensions and customising your own browsing experience. Adding a first party ad blocker just seems like a waste of time when third party ones likely do a better job.

I get your point, though, I can definitely see why a default one might be a nice marketing note, but no need to be rude about someone disagreeing with your speculation.

I agree with this so much. Political parties should just be given one tv ad and one pamphlet. Only allowed to talk about their own policies and nothing else. Exclusively government funded. Any extra donations and you're no longer representing the people's interests so you're murdered or something idk.

I thought individualism and collectivism were more like cultural traits than a specific thing you could call a scam.

I don't quite understand. Doesn't the bank have to pay someone for the house? So the money has to exist before they can lend it to you.
