I was working up in Whistler back in my twenties, at the end of the season, they lay everybody off except for a small crew of full-time employees. I went on to EI(employment insurance) for the summer pretended to look for jobs, and went on road trips with friends. Once summer finished, I found another job and I have unfortunately been employed ever since in various Warehouse jobs from order picker to warehouse manager.
I've been using the same Brother MFC from the late 2009. The toner is from at least 2013 as that is when my ex left it behind. It still works wonders for the 10 pages or so I print a year.
My partner and I are 42 days apart. There is something very nice about having the same timeframe of experience.
We grew up experiencing the same events but slightly different because we were in different parts of the same country.
I dated someone many years younger once and it was so awkward, they were so far behind of where I was in life that I didn't even want to pursue it after a month of dating.
I'm not really adopting this label. I've always been this way. I would always call and plan when I went to people's houses as a kid. As an adult I would always book at least a week in advance when I wanted to hang out with people. I don't just pop by, I plan in advance.
We don't have kids, it is just us two humans and two dogs, we like it this way.
My parents and I talk by text every other day and talk around once a week by phone. I think the only difference will be that I will go by once a week instead of the phone call.
I have talked with my parents and they have said they aren't going to come over unannounced.
I am a private person likely because they are private people and the thought of showing up at someone house without being invited is very much something that never happened growing up. I only kinda accept my best friend doing it and he would still call an hour ahead of time to let me know he was in the area. Now he is a 6 hour drive away so he would probably give me more notice now.
I think she is worried because my mom and dad are grieving but I don't think they are going to change their social courtesies because of it. They are moving closer because if something happens to my dad they don't want me driving hours to get to see him like in the past.
I went to see The Offspring and Sublime (with Rome).
Offspring was pretty good though the arena had horrible sound. Sublime was hot garbage with Rome singing. The only thing saved it was the crowd knew all the words so we were all drowning out his shit singing.
If you work in an environment where you go from cold to warm and they fog up often, you can get antifog treatments that don't last forever but do help keep them clear.
Buying a few pairs from cheap online sellers like goggles4u can save you a bunch of money. The antiglare coatings are applied to almost every lens already so don't bother paying for more coatings.
I was a manager of a warehouse for years on night shift. I had no bosses except for one hour at the end of my shift.
As long as we got our shit done I didn't care what people did. They complained on days we weren't doing stuff that would help their shift once we got our work done. The solution our shift came up with was making sure the guys timed their work to finish just before the end of the shift so they wouldn't have any expectation to do day shift work.
They did some sweeping to pretend they were helping days but no actual extra work.
In a restaurant that no longer exists called The Night Owl in Guildford BC they had a Monte Cristo sandwich.
It was two thick slices of french toast with a ton of thin slices turkey, a nice slice of ham and a few thick melted slices of Swiss cheese with a decent pile of french fries served next to it.
In 20 years I haven't found another place that made it as good as they did.
They were replaced with another restaurant that made incredible pasta, but that is another post entirely.
Does JD worry about being homosexual because he fucks a Lazy-Boy or does he think it is fine because it is sounds close to Ladyboy and they are real women after all.
First I read about it from a comment was that he was trying to prove his Ex-Wife wrong that he can make something of himself. But it didn't mention is that he joined the Gendarmerie of Turkey, which is a police type force in rural areas and other places in the country.
I don't want to lower his achievements but he's just a cop who obviously did well in his shooting practice and turned that into a silver medal. He isn't a hitman like the memes are saying.
I went to my home town from across the country when my grandmother died, I was sleeping on the couch and my mom woke up early and was reading the newspaper close by and saw I wasn't breathing much.
She said I should go to the doctor, a month later I had a CPAP and had my first restful sleep of my entire life, somehow I survived having a brain that doesn't tell my lungs to breathe all the time while asleep.
I was practically a new person, it took some years for my brain to bounce back with regards to memory and clear thinking but I'm as normal as can be now.
