It's a trade negotiation, it's literally all about the jobs.

I get that you aren't affected but thousands are.

By your logic, we should just not do anything with our largest trading partner and I dunno, just wait for almost half a decade until we like the administration?

Out of curiousity, how many workers should lose their jobs to appease your sense of righteousness?

A trade negotiation is not the same as bowing to fascism.

Admittedly, a lot of taxes are misspent but a quarter of your income seems a bargain.

For example, I imagine getting to your jon would be really difficult without roads. Or a semi functional legal system that stops people from just robbing your business whenever they feel like it. Or a system that enforces contracts and property rights.

I've had a job where I didn't pay taxes. It didn't end well.

There's a part of me that agrees, trump has a wild hold on the maga crowd. Buuuuut I also have trouble thinking of something that would make it easier for some non trump to channel that same energy than an assassination.

San Francisco and NYC both implemented rent control decadea ago and are famously some of the most expensive places in the US to live.

Net neutral is essential but so is a strong retirement safety net. With demographic decline, increasing lifespans and whatever other fun the world throws our way in the next while... Well, you want that bad boy maxed out.

I'm also super curious how some of the cop's investments are classified. If memory serves, it owns a chunk of highways and airports so how are those calculated in terms of carbon?
