As others pointed out, the reason it did well were the 10s of thousands of preorders from years ago.

Trump lifted the tariffs. At this point I think it was just a smoke screen so there would be less coverage of Elon taking over the Treasury.

The myth of Elon is still going strong. Now he's taking over government agencies. Not that it's the right move, but keeping him on might keep the stock at the insanely overvalued level it's at. That's all that matters.

I used to work as an exterminator. So many people don't understand that the little brown German cockroaches are the infesting guys. Big American roaches do not infest.

These are the bad guys-

If you see even a single one of the babies you need to take action immediately. Before I knew, about 12 years ago, we saw a group of the babies in our bathtub. Our slumlord told us not to worry, those are just "water bugs". The new tenants below us brought roaches and bedbugs. The infestation was so bad I have PTSD from it. We couldn't even eat in our apartment and it took three months to save up enough money to move. Luckily fast food wasn't nearly as expensive back then, because we couldn't save money by cooking at home.

When we moved we had to throw away most of our belongings, and we were poor as fuck. They were in the electronics of the microwave.

Teaching American exceptionalism for over a hundred years then over the past fifty defunding education systematically. The fact that the country was built on slavery then had Jim Crow officially until the 70s. Unofficially it's still around. The red scare that has caused people to automatically reject social improvements if they benefit everyone. Zero-sum thinking about literally everything - like if someone else benefits that must mean I'm losing.

So many reasons Americans are taught to be sociopaths. Both by our official education system and our general culture. We could go on and on. Yet at least half of us don't think like that. But we have no power.

We were in a pretty damn safe society until a few days ago. But yeah you're still right.

Protest day is the 5th at noon in your local downtown or better at your state capital building. Unfortunately it's in the middle of a capitalist drone's work day and I just found out today so I think it's going to be a fail. Don't let that stop you.
