  • There are people like me who use voice calls about half the time for work. My number is on my email signature and my emails may get passed around, which I don't mind. When I arrive to a new work site I give my number to at least one person, more commonly three or four. So if I practice what seems to be common today of not answering numbers I don't have saved, I could miss critical communication, and waste time hearing a voicemail and calling back.

I'm not saying one or the other is more correct, just that there are different situations to consider.

  • It is eight months pay and continue to get paid to work from home until their contact is up despite return to office mandates. And it's not a lot, it's the majority of federal workers. They want a purge.

And we have no idea how many are going to take the offer. This offer is new as of today right?

  • I actually worked with a guy that really hated Stephen Colbert. He was disgusting in many ways, early alt-right. One day I realized that he wasn't mad about Colbert mocking conservatives, he actually believed it was an honest conservative political show. He loved The Colbert Report. He took it at face value. So when Colbert "came out" as a liberal it broke his heart. He thought the guy turned his back on his ideology for money.

I could not convince him that the Colbert Report was satire. These people really exist.

  • He's been replaced by our former governor, a Trump loving Republican. What people don't understand is that Manchin was the only Democrat capable of being elected to national office in West Virginia. Yeah he sucked hard, but you'll never see another Democrat get elected in West Virginia outside of local office in the cities.

  • I hope you're right. I would love to see it. I actually support mandatory voting like in Australia. With mostly current laws everyone could get a mail in ballot. If you don't want to participate just check that box at the top, sign it, and send it in.

Your system sounds much better but would require a lot more legislation.
