  • No kidding fuck that guy. He's responsible for the mess we're in which means so is Biden for appointing him. Imagine after Trump treated the DOJ like his personal lawyers for four years, that old fucker was like let's bring back decorum, I'll appoint a Republican so nobody can accuse me of not upholding political norms.

  • I'm not saying he was perfect. I'm saying the ideas pushed by Trump, Qanon, and other far right and conspiracy theory peddlers had already done their damage. By the time Biden took office, everyone had long ago sided with science or conspiracies. I doubt he convinced very many people one way or the other.

  • I know why people did. What I want to know is why 19 million people who voted against him last time sat this one out. And I saw a poll yesterday. It's just one poll, and polls are far from perfect, but the top issue among non-voters at 29% was the Palestinian genocide.

  • I'm all the way with you politically.

Synchron seems awesome and yeah terrifying under the current economic and government systems that dominate the world.

I doubt I'll live long though to become a cyborg but I've always said I'll be one of the first once it's publicly available. I'm 41, I don't expect to live much past 70. Maybe I'll get to try it before I die.

But the revolution is much more exciting than the tech. I'm armed and trained. Are you?

  • It's a great idea. I think half the people just don't give a fuck at all.

Among people who say they care- look how rapidly disinformation is spread about anything and everything. Billionaires would be gaming the system from the get-go. I'm just pessimistic. I really do love the idea and I hope we get there some day.

Based on how Trump 2.0 is going though we might just get that tragedy.

  • That's what credit cards are for. You have a while to cash in your investment and pay the bill.

Although things are so uncertain right now I'm considering pulling all my savings out of the market. I know the stock market isn't real, it has a good chance to even go up. But I think we're heading for Great Depression part 2 if all the threatened tariffs happen.

  • I'm friends with a woman who makes six figures. She's always broke. She lives in a very expensive part of the country, but she always has to go to every big show. She travels all over the world, at least two major vacations every year plus smaller in country trips. She's got a bedroom in her (rented) house with no bed, the whole room is for her clothes and jewelry. Blows my mind. No savings. She's in credit card debt. If she'd just chill for six months she'd be so set.
