Yeah my boy worked for UPS and said he saw dudes bounce pass TVs in the warehouse.

FedEx is the worst of all. USPS is the best. At least where I've lived.

I was in an sketchy apartment years ago waiting for hours for a FedEx package that needed signed. I waited the whole time in the living room by the front door. Eventually I got frustrated and walked outside. The FedEx person had snuck up my creaky stairs and put that fucking sticker on my door instead of even bothering to bring up the package and knock.

Because they're going through some really hard life shit right now and wanted to get it off their chest.

That's fair. I shouldn't have said model. You're right.

In fact they would learn this and think it means he's awesome, because everywhere that isn't the USA is either a shithole or a pansy liberal enclave.

The current two Air Force One planes (whatever the president is flying in is called Air Force One) are the exact same model as this "gift".

Good ol USA, at a high rate.

It just gets stale so fast. We don't eat that much bread.

We got one like a year ago and I love it. Cheap plastic thing. It's airtight. No more arguments about me not using that useless bread tie and the bread lasts longer.

All day until I started steady living with a woman. The twist tie or whatever must be attached at all times.

Many years later we got a cheap plastic bread box and I gotta say it's awesome. You can twist and tuck and the bread stays good even longer.

It was about the same years for me that I realized the scale of evil at Nestle, followed by learning they make everything. In fact we were even born the same year.

I hear you. All we can do is our best.

I'm not the only person who was dismayed by winding down nuclear power worldwide after the overblown situation at Three Mile Island. Then Fukushima caused another scare that could have been prevented, and turns out was not even that severe. If we had continued working nuclear at pace, while winding down fossil fuels we would be in a better situation environmentally now.

Simply existing is destroying the planet, so, like many things, you practice harm reduction. If I need to buy hardware or tools, and there's no local shop, I go to Lowe's. Not because Lowe's is awesome, it's a shitty corporation. But because Home Depot donates money to groups that practice gay conversion therapy, which is worse than anything I know of that Lowe's does.

Pretty much every decision you make can be about harm reduction on some level. Don't let perfect be the enemy of better.

Canada, because I got a DUI in the USA 21 years ago. Yes I was a stupid kid and no I don't do that anymore. But damn.

The problem with the voting holiday idea, is many people are forced to work every holiday. They are generally the most marginalized people who work in the service industry as well. I used to be one. I was the general manager of a pizza shop and I worked every single holiday, football game, anything you can think of that will keep people from cooking and/or get them drinking. I also scheduled basically the entire staff for those days. It sucked. I told everyone from the start that holidays don't exist for you anymore in food, but it didn't stop women with tears in their eyes telling me they never expected they wouldn't be able to take their kids trick or treating.
