  • All you need to know is that it was not used with a racist intent. The word itself was not even used in a context where it could be interpreted as racist. I mean, can you even answer which group of people the word was racist against based on your interpretation?

  • They absolutely do. They are freaks of nature.

Essentially communists who support the war crimes committed in Ukriane and the idea of Russian imperialism since it somehow in their twisted little minds equates to a Soviet Union born again.

    Wrap your head around that.

  • Because mongrel is not a racial slur. You made it a racial slur. I could argue that the word Bastard is a racial slur by the same logic. And given enough time and effort, you would believe it if all you see is race.

  • Not really. You just use the word 'racist' as a general insult to people who disagree with you. I don't really take it as an offense since it means nothing in that context, but using the word 'racist' ignoring its actual meaning is problematic.

  • Yeah well I'm willing to guess that a good chunk of those players moved from battle.net to steam for convenience.

And even so, Overwatch 2 has barely half the active players that tf2 does, as I'm writing this, and tf2 is how old?

Overwatch 2 went down the drain and now we have some rough numbers to give us an idea of the situation.

  • The points I listed are the strongest arguments to expand nuclear power which both the left and right of Riksdagen generally agrees on.

So how this is a right wing conspiracy to further the fossil energy industry as you point out is still to me a mystery, that's all you need to explain.

  • This is a right wing government backing the interests of fossil fuels, by implementing policy that delays any meaningful reduction in fossil fuel use.

Simply incorrect and ignorant and I could leave it at that.

    But I won't so here:

    1. Nuclear is carbon neutral
    2. The majority of Swedens energy production is still renewable and will continue to grow
    3. Nuclear is absolutely necessary for load balance
    4. Current nuclear plants are nearing their end of life and needs to be replaced
  • Thats confusing but ok.. so saved the state, only I cannot verify it since when i open the settings again it resets my choices. Not exactly great since the end user cannot verify their settings. Fine though, as long as it works.

  • I click 'do not consent', leave the dialogue page and open it up again and see that the consent for 'Legitimate interest' is ticked in, I.e not the way I left it. My worry, obviously, is that it doesn't save the state with the choises I've made.

This is the state after I've selected 'do not consent':

  • Cool, bumpy start but I support your work, you will be instrumental in growing Lemmy. GDPR issues needs to be fixed pronto as it otherwise won't legally comply in the EU.

I've got a bug fix thread here

    Keep it up!

  • 'Legitimate interest' consent for ad-tracking, as the settings state is not compliant with GDPR. 'Legitimate interest' consent bare bones and for security and other essential functions only, not ads.
