If these deals didn't exist, lots of games simply wouldn't get made. You can hate on the platforms all you like but the deals are one of the only sources of funding for small & solo developers.
It's literally just a 20-minute rant about Xbox Live. Doesn't even mention security until 15 minutes in, and that part is about players being able to get your IP address if you join a party chat.
Usually because the studios and publishers go out of their way to avoid promoting individual developers - it's seen as bad for business (encourages poaching, among other things).
Can only hope Microsoft has stepped in and freed Toys For Bob - they did great work on Reignited and it was so sad when Activision responded by locking them in the Call of Duty content mines.
