I'm glad for the normalization of counting fingers on someone's hand. I've been doing it ever since I saw The Princess Bride as a child.

A user in another thread pointed out that during relight, not all engines lit, and the ones that did started going back out.

Good catch. I was so focused on Starship and it's engines. I guess the question now is whether it was because of the engines or or tank pressure?

I agree! I can't wait to hear the cause of RUD though. Was it really FTS or was it damage from the hot staging?

Actually kinda really successful 👍 All 33 engines were firing, the hot staging was successful. On both the first and second stages, it looks like the automatic FTS (flight termination system) was triggered. That would happen if it veered too far off of it's approved flight path (don't need it coming down over a populated region.) The only thing that didn't happen that I was hopeful for was atmospheric re-entry - we really need to see how that heat shield works in practice.

To say that anyone can be a photographer belittles the skill associated with a professional photographer. That's akin to saying that you can hire anyone with a voice to be a singer. Sure, you can, but there's a qualitative difference.

That aside, would there be any sign that the photographer could put on their door that would be illegal? No Blacks, No Jews, No Women, etc… If not, play that to the logical extreme; What if all photographers in town had the same sign? What services are appropriate to deny in entirety to a specific class of people.

It's not the same as the vehicle cameras, but Tim Dodd has a pretty good setup for ground based shots.

A surprise, I'm sure, but a welcome one.

More than a buttload, $787.5 million. I've only been able to fit about $47.86 in my butt, but that was also all pennies.

Not only the cost, but there's also the issue of infrastructure. I as well as many others in my city don't have a garage and park either on the street or on a parking pad in the alley. I wouldn't imagine a power cord running to a vehicle lasting very long because of the scrap prices of copper. We've got a long ways to go.
