  • Is it particularly different from LibreX?

  • Torrents of The Weird Al movie are about to become quite popular.

  • Nah I'd have to disagree in that statement entirely. TV Stations are ad companies. It isn't shows with commercials every now and then, it's the other way around.

And have you read a Magazine in the last 30 years? They're entirely ads, including sponsored content.

  • So don't use a public road, problem solved!

  • I fell for this trap and it made my depression 10x worse.

Ignoring your problems is not a solution.

  • Any Admin worth their salt is going to defederate anyways.

  • If it's anything like LibReddit, then public instances are slowly breaking due to the hgh API calls. Private ones seem to make a small enough amount that they go under their radar.

  • Same boat here. It's absolutely amazing.

  • Please god no. It's bad enough getting the lemmynswf and lemmyporn posts in my feed.

Also Loli is definitely CSAM. Kinda weird you defend it when you just want "visual novels".

  • Only janky solution I know of is to use a Raspberry Pi (or other computer) to run Kodi or Android TV. You can then point your TV's DNS to a PiHole or other DNS filter to stop tracking/ads.

  • https://piped.video still works for me most of the time. Occasionally it'll fail to load any videos, but usually it's fine.

  • I'm boycotting them because they haven't made a good game in about 20 years.

  • Apple. I wouldn't use their products if they were free.

Roblox. As a parent, I'm not about to support a casino for kids. As a hobbyist game developer, I won't support their exploitation of developers either.

Lotteries. Im not against gambling in general, but I sure am against emotional manipulation, and taking advantage of those who don't understand math.

  • Pepsi, Proctor and Gamble, and Nestle. Three of the largest corporations on Earth that control over half of the brands you buy.
