In their defense, Taiwan has been very strategic in making themselves extremely critical in one of the most important industries in the modern world. Keeps China from fucking with them too much cause it keeps everyone having a vested interest in protecting them
I only have anecdotal evidence but we were super close to buying one in 2020. Test drove and everything. I will never by a tesla and everyone in my circles have the same sentiment. I think the craziest part of the story is that Musk managed to win over an entirely different demographic. Otherwise, it'd be a bloodbath
Not OP but then yeah, it'd be repulsive to invite her to events as a hero. Maybe if it were an abuse awareness thing or a support group it'd be different. But if it were in the same way Rittenhouse was/is celebrated, that'd be fucked.
I work in the space industry and this just reeks of the "hurry up and wait" that I live in. If the right pressure was there, it'd be rescheduled already. I'm 50/50 on if they are actually working on it or if feet are being dragged due to institutional friction.
