  • Isnt the problem with a swappable battery, like you describe, that the phone will lose its waterproofing?

Dont get me wrong, i dont think they should be welded to the internals like they are these days, they should be easily removable, but getting into the phone shouldsnt be super simple unless they find a decent way to waterproof a removable back plate.

  • Sometimes, my lane assist function thinks that random pot holes and scabby bits of road are lanes and tries to push me over into the path of other cars without warning.

    I turned it off.

My car is not a tesla, but from what i understand about teslas, they are prone to this same issue.

  • Whilst that is fair, i dont think there is too little information in the picture to see the irony, i think you presumed a lot of details that were incorrect and thats just as bad as me unintentionally ommitting the context you needed to understand my viewpoint.

  • How can you possibly know who was driving the car?

I took the picture... about 15 or 16 years ago

Furthermore, even if the red van wasn't being driven by a learner, how can you know the events that led to this weren't caused by a different car driven by a learner?

The area that the car was is a small car park outside of a pub called the coach and horses.

    Coordinates 53.3764660, -3.1237445

The driver had just come from the pub. I was across the road in the beer garden of another pub called the greave dunning (just about visible i that screenshot) when it happened and witnessed the crash. He got in his car, had it in 1st instead of reverse, and went straight through the bricks and off the edge.

Is that enough for you to understand why i find it ironic?

  • Irony:

a state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often wryly amusing as a result.

The car is not being driven by a learner. Its not ironic just because a car crashed outside a driving school, its ironic because the driver is experiencedz has a licence and should be able to drive but they have crashed outside a driving school, the place you go to learn to drive....

I thought this was pretty clear.

  • I have to disagree. Granted, those learning to drive are likely less skilled than those who have passed their tests already. However, the majority of crashes involve people who have already passed. Learners tend to be more careful and drive more slowly than more experienced drivers. Learners also have an instructor present who can use the dual pedal controls in the instructor car to stop something like this from happening.

So whilst you might think a more experienced driver would be less likely to crash, remember, this car was not being driven by a learner and more experienced drivers are less likely to pass driving tests, since they develop bad habits like not using indicators, becoming overconfident and bending or breaking rules, more likely to speed and as stated beforez are far more likely to crash or be caught in one than a learner.

  • It's all relative. If i sit a few meters away from a 50 inch screen, then it's roughly the same size as a phone screen held 30cm from my face. It's just a matter of perspective.

The level of detail i can see is the same. My fancy earbuds make the sound quality essentially the same if not better.

The only real difference is i have to hold the phone to watch it.

Well, most people... not me, I have a folding phone with a stand, so for me, i can comfortably put the phone on a table on the stand that's built into the case and watch from there. Works just fine.

  • They published it. My mistake

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bethesda_Softworks

    Look under games published.

Bethesda game studios, apparently the game development studio under bethesda softworks appear to have only worked on elder scrolls games, space skyrim and fallout. Which is even worse and further emphasises my point.

  • Who asked for this? Can bethesda just make a new game ffs. They have been releasing skyrim for a decade. Dont get me started on Space skyrim, that gets good after the first 12 hours.

Come up with a new engine, a new concept and just make a good game.

(I am aware they have made more games, but putting dishonored aside, they arent good games. I mean they made redfall ffs)
