I dont think it's unique to the US, companies in other countries have to play the same game or be lost to obscurity.

Why dont these companies accept theybarent worth as much any more and just provide less services until they balance off.

The stuff they cant afford to provide could be taken on by someone else. Being a one company does all type master of none sort of thing is clearly bad for society and the economy.

I dont really know what im talking about but i just dont get why they see losses and an end to growth but take the position of "we need to find a way to keep this going" instead of "we need to sell off things until our company is making money again, even if its less money"

I dont know if i can keep using google stuff if this is the way they are going.

Why does everything have to be a fucking advert.

I remember living in a world where i was shocked when companies started asking for credit card details when activating a free trial.

I'm signing up for a free trial. I shouldn't need to even give you my name. Just put a 30-day limit on the key i activate the software with. If i want to buy it, then i can decide that during the trial.

The fact that we are at a point where the anger is directed to the part AFTER i have given all my details and credit card info is so painful to see.

Well baldurs gate 3 was in beta early access for 3 years and it turned out to be an absolute masterpiece.

Gamea would be better across the board if the developers and publishers all worked with players and tested the games properly.

I've always been aware of this guy, but never watched him. He always seemed like an old guy acting like a young guy. Gave me bad vibes. I wouldn't have guessed this at all. And im not just saying it becuase all this has come out. Ive voiced this opinion many times over the years. He gives of creepy vibes.

Do the cheats still work? When i got fed up i used to just get loads of mustangs and blow everything up. Or the monkey boy was fun.

It would be interesting to do it the Kotor way. In that game you could customise your character but there was also a canon version of the character which followed the light side ending and had specific clothing.

I thought i remembered that the writers considered revan to be female canonically too. In Kotor 2, in an early scene, atton refers to revan as "she" or "her" so potentially they intended that to be the case.

But in individual games it made no difference because you could customise.

Like when i read Harry Potter, i took the descriptions of the characters and they looked a certain way in my head, until the films came out and solidified how they all look to me. I think everyone did this. It didnt matter to me that they looked different in the films to how i imagined. It was just the "official" versions of them.

That beeing said, there are people that insist on obscurity beeing security (sigh) and want to keep doing dns views when using IPv6. But even then things are much easier when the result would be the same in either view.
