  • Could be the strong competition in China, there's a lot of electric car choices there, more than any other country IIRC

  • Hmmm, interesting idea, I'll think about it, thanks.

  • I sorta understood that, but nothing research can't answer. I know just enough extra about computers to really bork things. 😜

Attached is a pic of the BIOS, and I think you can see what I mean about it not being the real BIOS

  • Could always triple boot, use the third to play around to see if'n something else is even better than what you have, or use a container to test run different linuxes... linii? Personally I'm enjoying LMDE, and don't like Gnome either, but that's the great thing about Linux, so many different options.

  • Ah, thanks, wasn't sure as they seem to pretty much rule the market

  • Go ahead, this'll be fun. Let's see, to travel out of your country, you'll need a passport, and for that to be accepted, you'll need a treaty in place Sure, you've got oil, but you basically need to be part of OPEC to sell it, and they decide price and volume. To ship anything you produce, you need treaties in place

Yep, let's see how this goes.

  • Arch is a good choice, Endeavour was my flavor of choice, but these days I use Linux Mint: Debian Edition, which works mostly fine for me (got one minor piece of software I can't get for it).

  • And here I thought you said you were going to see a Muenster movie last night

  • Honestly I'm not really surprised, they're a battery company that moved into making cars. Considering how important batteries are to electric cars, if they make reliable, cheap and powerful batteries, it won't be hard to move cars, even mediocre ones, and from what I've seen, their cars are anything but mediocre.

  • I just think it's fair that they pay for their crime, although I would have no problems considering payment plans as paid from day one,. Where things get complicated in Florida, is that even if you pay for your crime, you don't get your right to vote back if'n you owe anything to the state, even if it's unrelated. Oh, and it's your problem to find it. Did I mention that it's a crime to claim you've settled everything if'n you have, even if you don't know about the debt? Yeah, now that's a lot of BS Throw in the fact that prisoners count in the census despite not being able to vote while incarcerated, and often not after. If they count they should be allowed to vote.

  • I'd say if'n they haven't fully repaid their debt to society, ie fines, etc, but they should be able to do that without Florida's type of BS. That and the double standard needs to go.

  • We were already leaning towards replacing it with WalMart+ before this announcement. It used to be worth it when it was cheaper and got you next day delivery, but those are gone. We have little use for it's various features, so we figure give W+ a try for a year, it's cheaper, and seems to cover our needs, though there's a good chance that'll be a one and done thing, since I don't think we'll find it worth it, but I don't see us going back to Prime.

  • Why, why are they under any obligation to be accurate? I"ve used them since you had to print out the directions, they've told me to make illegal turns, go the wrong way down one way streets, use a road with a bridge out, use roads that don't exist and more, and while annoying, I just rolled with it, because they never promised me anything more than that the directions were prolly accurate.

  • This is what I was thinking, suing Google sounds like a cash grab as there's government agencies and possibly private land owners responsible for putting up barriers and signs warning the bridge is out. Google maps is useful, but you still have to use some sense rather than blindly following it, heck, I've run into cases where it can't figure out how to get to a street (that actually happened yesterday).

  • Yeah, I can believe that, it's as rife for corruption and the other problems as any other system. Honestly I don't know if there is a way to do fair voting maps, at least one that can't get hijacked by zealots.

  • While I generally agree, from what I read, the issue is that the court extended the date that for collecting signatures, appeals court put that on hold. Yes, they should still start counting to save time, especially as they've said they're going to be very, very picky about the signatures, but of course they don't want to waste time and money on that while the date is up in the air.... it has nothing whatsoever to do with trying to delay things as long as possible.

  • For computers I typically look at Lenovo, there's a wide range of choices, and they can have some pretty sweet deals at times.

  • Of course they will, you mean you don't trust politicians?
